Where do I begin? The restaurant is unassuming from outside, but once you walk in it is a different world. Javier and his business partner managed to create an amazing oasis.
The food is made fresh (not being euphemistic), the aguas are made daily, and their afe de olla is puts the rest of the city to shame.
The service was spectacular and then we got the treat of speaking with Javier for a little bit about his philosophy and process. 100% fresh, hand-made, low sugar (if any) and everything done with absolute pride that you can taste in the food.
Even if it is only one time, please make sure you visit...you will not regret it.

I stumbled across this place and was sad that I wasn't more hungry because the food there is outstanding. The service was really great, shout out to Marco for providing excellent service even though I only had two tacos. I love very much the decor and hear it feels like you're in Zacatecas add a family friends restaurant and they are going to throw a party. It's a nice little Oasis on this strip of Sherman Way. Last the food is outstanding. Both of the tacos, the alpha store and the shrimp, which was not grilled and popped in the mouth it was so fresh, or outstanding and made me want to come back another time when I had my full appetite with me. And the salsa was outrageous-- the spicy tomatillo salsa and the aguacate was excellent but I found the spicy salsa remarkable, it's made from tomatillo and chiltepín and it's not something this gavacho has experienced in the United States. Great work is being done here and you should make an effort to go there

Our first time here and we Will be coming back the food is delicious amazingly surprised how good the orchard and the taste im satisfied definitely recommend it (hidden gem💎 ) however the waitress was beyond rude she said something about the scar in my face in spanish not knowing im Mexican and know perfect spanish!🚩

The very best Mexican food I've ever had, fresh and delicious. (All that I ordered: The Guacamole, the salsa, and the Chile relleno- outstanding). I'm from northern California and only come to L.A. to see my family, but I now will have a new destination whenever I come down to l.a.
Had their stuffed chilaquiles….. BEST IVE EVER HAD!!!! Not spicy but soooo flavorful. Very highly recommend

Seeing all these good reviews, I had very high hopes for this place. I came with an empty stomach to make sure I’d enjoy every single bite. But man was I disappointed. It started off alright. The salsas and chips at the beginning are pretty good. We got the menus, placed our order with the waitress and waited. Then we waited some more. And then some. We finally got our plates and I had a big smile and big hopes. I love chiles en nogada. I get very nostalgic. The chile was alright. Nothing out of this world. The nogada tasted more like sweet cream than actual nogada. It definitely needed more pecans. My kids tacos tasted pretty good and they didn’t complain. My husband’s meat plate was not good at all. The steak was overcooked and he had to ask a again and wait for the tortillas. By the time the tortillas finally arrived, his plate was cold. Our waitress didn’t bother to check on us a single time the whole time. Didn’t offer us refills, nothing.
A bit off about everything, we requested boxes to go & the check. To our surprise, the bill was off by about $4. We look at the items listed, and the prices are not the same as the prices listed in the menu.
Weird vibe, mediocre food & customer service, zero attention to detail, poor customer service, overcharge on bill. Needless to say, we are never coming back.
