Love this little taqueria. So rustic in nature. We were transported back to Mexico. The food is not bad, we had tacos. The drinks are strong! Totally will be back to try other stuff.

I was truly surprised by this place. I work a few blocks from it, unfortunately took me about 4 months to finally walk in as I would only pass by and wonder how it was. It’s in a very small shopping center and hard to see. Anyways, their food is bomb, their service is amazing and I will continue to be their frequent customer, mainly because of their reasonable prices and variety. Highly recommended ? I ordered tacos here for the first time and they were flavorful.
I had a menodo Saturday morning was cold, not fresh plus brazen face customer service

LA has too many choices for Mexican food and it can take forever to find that 5 star establishment. In my search I came across a solid Mexican restaurant. I got an order of enchiladas and the family chose shrimp, carnitas, birria, carne asada and Al pastor tacos. I would give Xochipilli a solid 4 stars. The enchiladas were pretty good, nice red sauce, meat was tender and overall flavorful. The carnitas were soft but seemed to be missing that deep fried and crisped crunch, the Al pastor had good flavor, shrimp tacos were good but the Birria tacos were my favorite. The rice was a bit dry and the beans were pretty good.If you are craving a wide variety of good Mexican food, stop looking and swing by Xochipilli for good solid Mexican food.

We stumbled upon this place on our way home from Target. We usually go to the In N Out across the street, so I've never noticed this place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My husband said that this was the best service we've had at a restaurant in a long time. The food was really good and generously proportioned. We ordered the guacamole, ceviche, carne asada plate, carnitas plate, and taco fiesta. Everything was delicious and we had leftovers to take home! I also love that they have free chips, which has become a luxury now. The prices were a bit more than we're used to spending on dinner, but it felt like a special occasion. My husband complained about the chair being very uncomfortable (because he's tall), but our toddler sat in her high chair the whole meal. The restaurant was festively decorated for Christmas, which I loved. They accept credit card and have a parking lot they share with the other businesses in the strip mall.
