Seating is a bit odd. Food was okay but nothing to write home about but our waitress was so helpful and friendly. Drinks were good, would come back to try more cocktails

BEWARE - THEY ARE ADDING SECRET CHARGES TO THE BILL!! Had a very negative experience yesterday. Our happy hour order included four martinis which were list on the menu as $19. When the bill came they had secretly added $3 for each martini, which is illegal. When we confronted the manager, he said, "There's nothing I can do. It's corporate." I have reported them to the local BBB and CA DOJ.

Isabella our server made our experience a 10/10. She was attentive, fun, and checked in often. The chicken, the sushi, and the drinks were all outstanding. At 7:00pm it wasn't too loud and the atmosphere was fun. Would recommend Belle's!

Nice atmosphere here in the evening time, a short walk to the beach and the board walk. Follow our instagram for more @gemislist

My husband and I went to Belle's last night. The crispy rock shrimp were delicious and the Japanese gold rush from the bar was also yummy. The biggest thing I can compliment is the very helpful staff who showed extreme concern when I had a medical episode and fainted. They made sure my husband had everything he needed to help me. Even their security stood watch so guests didn't get worried. Multiple staff offered to call an ambulance. It looked more serious than it was, but I truly appreciate everyone who checked on us. I do wish I could get someone on the phone to thank everyone verbally, but this will have to do. Great food and great people!

When you consider the choices in and around this area of Venice Beach, you’ll find that this is probably the best seating in terms of comfort and ambience with the exception of music that plays a little louder than it should.

The food was on par with which you might find at a run-of-the-mill franchise for casual dining - fringing on nightclub sustenance.

I pictured two types of dining experiences here. The first being, tourist that are looking for something better than Standup corner food that was more or less everywhere else on Venice Beach. The second mode, was the dining experience you hope for before a night of clubbing. Or you picture that what you’ll be eating, might come up in a few hours if you’re not careful with how much alcohol you might ingest.

The experience feels more club-like. With a bouncer at the walk up entrance - with nothing to do but look the part at 5 PM (because - there wasn’t exactly an entry crowd that required selective regulation for upper types).

Of the environment, I didn’t know that there were special tables that featured couch seating that made me wonder why we didn’t ask to sit there, only to realize that later, some reserve signs popped up as the later hours approached. Definitely the giveaway that the upper class had not yet arrived.

The food was - adequately proportionate and mildly satisfying the hunger urge that developed. What made it less appealing - was the selection…. Specialized burger, specialized salads, and a few other staples that were appealing - but eye raising (eh- is this the best place for sushi??? Maybe the chicken… meh - maybe the black cod (will it be memorable?)

Too much of the club like feel took away from the menu appeal (making it seem more like a “let’s chance it and see if it’s any good”)

The service was the best for some reason. Seemed as if we were going to be yearning for attention at times - but it’s hard to expect full accommodation when the staff seemed a bit thin on help (and - our waiter was very nice. Sometimes - the spirit of friendly service goes a lot further than the constantly filled water bottle)

Definitely a great place to start out a long night of CA bewilderment that seems to be perfectly at home with what you expect at Venice beach.

What might work better? Staying closed until the nightlife picks up, or spicing up the menu, dropping the bouncer like presence, turning the music down and perhaps changing up the drink selections to provide shareable cocktails (aka - a larger margarita or Venice beach signature special - for 2). Candles and rooftop seating??? Maybe some avante-garde tiki torches?

The burgers were excellent, I also had the banana espresso martini very good. I highly recommend this place

We enjoyed our experience here. The food and service were good. There could have been a wider variety in choices of food. The cocktails were excellent. Parking around there is scarce and we ended up paying a lot to park and the restaurant does not validate.

Celebrated Father's Day here. What a scrumptious and fun experience. We ordered several starters and all 4 of the main dishes to share. All food comes when ready and so we got an entree first. It actually worked well for us. The most outstanding was the huli huli chicken. It was juicy, tender and so flavorful. Also loved the cheeseburger spring rolls. The watermelon sashimi somehow mimicked ahi sashimi. The char siu ribs were spicy and the meat fell off the bone. The kalbi ribs were good but a bit tough. My husband loved the miso black cod which was served as DIY lettuce wraps. Dessert was sticky toffee and passion fruit mousse. Both were so lovely. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely return.

Mostly just way too loud. And a DJ outside on weekends makes it even worse. The sushi rolls are very good.

I wish I could write about the food or drinks, but unfortunately, my experience ended with my car being towed by order of the restaurant owner himself while I was dining there as a paying customer with a valid handicap license plate. There were no visible tow-away signs when I parked. I later discovered that a sign had been posted after the fact, which I have photo evidence of. I ended up paying $425 to get my car back. No warning, no notice, no accountability. As someone with a disability who followed the law and supported this business, being treated this way was shocking. I reached out to the restaurant with proof and requested a refund no response. If you go here, take photos of where you park and protect yourself. I’ve filed a formal complaint with the city and the Better Business Bureau. This was not just bad service it was unethical.
