The meals were really wholesome and extremely filling. Drinks were nice and the tahini cookies sent to me. Went with my very non-vegan father who had stars in his eyes at the end. We felt really taken care of by the staff and could chat easily as it wasn’t very noisy either highly recommend. Updated from previous review on 2025-11-08
Restaurant was practically vacant for breakfast but we didn't mind. The service was extremely slow for it being so empty. The menus are extremely confusing. We were handed three different menus and we were clearly there for breakfast, but were also given the full lunch/dinner menu along with a cocktail menu. The food was delicious except for the cinnamon roll which was not fresh and it was over cooked and tasted dry and burnt.
This is such a great place! The food is amazing, and the staff is really friendly.
Cafe Gratitude is the go-to place for plant-based food with a side of positivity. The avocado toast is next level, with a creamy texture and a hint of lemon. Their smoothies are packed with nutrients and never too sweet. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic about the menu. It’s a little pricey, but the food is fresh, healthy, and nourishing—perfect for a post-workout meal or casual brunch with friends
We’ve always loved Café Gratitude for its delicious, healthy vegan food, desserts, and calming atmosphere. However, during our visit on June 14th, we noticed some concerning hygiene issues. The place was very busy, so we sat at the bar and saw a young staff lady preparing smoothies without gloves. She touched the fridge, added ingredients, then went to the register to handle money and afterward, picked up a brownie with her bare hand to serve it.
This mix of food handling and cash handling without proper sanitation is worrying. It would be much better if gloves or tongs were used, or if kitchen and register duties were separated. Since that visit, we haven’t felt comfortable returning to that location, which is unfortunate because we truly love what this place offers.
Food was Delicious but pricey. Great atmosphere to sit and get some work done or catch up with a friend( great 90’s hits of all genres and and a perfect volume to groove to the music or hear your own thoughts) Service was wonderful and I LOVED the question of the day, a nice touch for a place called gratitude cafe.
So good! Highly recommend.
Cafe Gratitude in Venice is my go-to for healthy and flavorful vegan food. The menu is full of creative and nourishing dishes, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I particularly love their bowls, and the “I Am Whole” smoothie is a must-try. The ambiance is calm and inviting, and it’s a perfect spot to recharge after a day at the beach. The staff is always warm and friendly, making the experience even better
Altho the place is not totally vegan as they do use honey I do eat there. I got the key lime pie a few times and the salad then the next day loaded fries. very yummy all of it
Delicious vegan and gf food.

The chilaquiles breakfast is top notch. High quality food.
The food here was great. Service was really good too.
Pancakes and mung beans omelet were delicious. Our server was kind and efficient. The menu is diverse with many choices. Highly recommend!
Great vegan food! We ordered for pick up and by the time we got home the food was still hot, tasty and fresh.
I used to go to cafe gratitude all the time before the pandemic and Friday went back after awhile, only because I live 50 miles away. But it just wasn't the same. Even the food, everything lacked luster and the appeal that it once held. Felt like a chain restaurant and not the one off special place it used to be for me. They changed the food serving plate to an oval plate and it's so off putting, something like you'd get at one of those cheaper restaurant chains.
