Bartended accused me of stealing an orange and then proceeded to charge me 12 dollars to teach me a lesson. Then added a 2.5 percent fee for a tip because she knew I wasn't going to tip. Don't eat here please.

Had dinner alone at the bar on a work trip. Fantastic service, delicious food, busy but fun vibe and atmosphere. The sear and cook level on my NY strip was perfect. Superb food and overall experience. Will definitely eat here again when I’m in the area.

Fun restaurant for BBQ lovers. Almost everything is made on charcoal, as the name suggests. The steaks, chicken, and sides were great, the service attentive, the atmosphere fun. A nice place to celebrate special events. It was not cheap but also not expensive by LA standards. We will be back.

Service is horrible, $12 an orange is pretty ridiculous. Also charging it on a receipt claiming the guy stole it but he paid for his meal + the orange? Clearly doesn't make him a thief. Hope the internet does what it does bests and takes this restaurant down. Very unprofessional.

Charcoal Venice is a popular spot known for its delicious Brazilian-style grilled meats and flavorful sides. Their all-you-can-eat churrasco is a highlight, offering a variety of perfectly cooked cuts of meat. The casual, lively atmosphere makes it a great place for groups or special occasions, and the staff is friendly and attentive

Restaurantji Recommends
I’m working my hardest to not make this a 1 star review. The food was pretty good which redeems the atrocious service. I’m not exaggerating when I say we didn’t see our waitress for 40 mins. We weren’t the only ones either. Other tables started talking to us about how bad it was. Finally I flagged down another waitress and she got our check. When our waitress did return there was no explanation, just simply a place for us to tip on the keypad. Cannot recommend this place unless you have an entire evening to burn waiting.

The perfect neighborhood restaurant. Relaxed and casual atmosphere with truly superb service and food. The best restaurant we tried this year.
Fantastic food and drinks - we especially loved the rib eye, the duck and the baked potato. Don't sleep on that potato!
Great food and service. I was blown away by the food combinations. Love the family style service. Definitely a culinary journey.
