This was our 2nd time dining at Charcoal, and it remains exceptional. It was a Friday night and quite busy at the bar for their happy hour, so the restaurant seemed more noisy than the last time we were there. After we got our cocktails, bread and cabbage appetizer, there was about a twenty-five minute time period before any other food came out from the kitchen. All was well, the food was great and the service was almost perfect. We will be back.
Food was good. Lamb chop appetizer was a delight and the arugula salad was refreshing and truly appetizing. But that's where the excitement on the food ends, I say it in this tone because I really hoped that the mains would deliver. The rest of the food was good just not memorable. The skirt steak, pasta and baked potato were good but not as special. The staff was very nice and helpful. Nice time.
Had dinner alone at the bar on a work trip. Fantastic service, delicious food, busy but fun vibe and atmosphere. The sear and cook level on my NY strip was perfect. Superb food and overall experience. Will definitely eat here again when I’m in the area.
