Slow service on a Sunday lunch, 230pm. Made a reservation. Waited an hour for our food after we sat down. Food was interesting, but small portions. Definitely go for the taste of something new, but don't go on an empty stomach.

A restaurant full of energy. From the chefs to the service staff, the owners, and the music, everything is charged with vitality. The dishes are fantastic, and the fish is freshly caught by the owner. The wine and champagne selection is good, and you can have any wine from the shelf chilled on ice. Fantastic.

150% worth the wait- but don’t be like me, book ahead! Neysa took such good care of us!

Very fun atmosphere, but tables are a bit too close to one another and it’s unbelievably loud. Felt like I had to yell across the table. Nonetheless, the Dudley burger, fish tacos, gochuchang hiramasu crudo, scallop crudo and miso glazed squash are all phenomenal.

This place is an absolute Dud. Restaurants like these are overly focused on being Instagram famous, centering around one dish that they do well. In their case, its their burger... which was nonexistent when we went.Wife and I came for date night to see what this place was all about. We had a reservation, we fasted all day, and dressed up to try this famous burger. The restaurant instead decided to sub their regular menu for a "pop-up" menu, which only had a few items on it. I watched as about 5 couples stormed out after learning this. Almost every party was in disbelief. I was so embarrassed for these servers who had to explain this to everyone. We reluctantly stayed, because we were starving drove all the way over there, and paid $20 to park. Not much to choose from so we ordered the fried oysters and crab louie sandwich. What a joke. Those were the worst fried oysters I ever had. Clearly pulled out of a jar, overly panko'd with tooth-breaking crust and no meat. The sauce was awful - not sure what they were trying to do there. The crab sandwich was boring. Nothing special there at all. They only had one red wine by the glass and it was trash. When a restaurant is hyping up their menu and people are making reservations to try it, they need to give a heads up to their patrons if they plan to become a totally different restaurant that day. It s a shame that I will never try that burger because I cant trust them to serve it.

You usually have to wait a little bit but its worth it. Everything on the menu is done well, including the best burger in LA and fresh sashimi, crudo, and a selection of oysters. Owner is a nice guy as well and knows what he is doing with the place. Best not so hidden gem right in the heart of Venice.

STAY AWAY!!! Dudley doesnt take reservations so we put our name down with the extremely rude hostess (this will be a theme here) told us its "technically" 2 hours but likely 45 minutes because everyone puts their name down then never comes back. We show up 30 minutes later to the hostess not even giving us the time of day to give us an update. We brushed it off as maybe they were busy so we went inside and bought a bottle of wine to share amongst the 4 of us while we wait. Within the following two hours, we proceed to socialize amongst the others waiting and it actually turned into a great time and made some new friends. After almost 2 hours, we go back to the hostess to ask for an update and we get in an EXTREMELY annoyed and rude tone that there are 6 tables still ahead of us and all of a sudden, she never claims saying 45 minutes! At this point, we are willing to wait it out only to go inside and try to buy another bottle of wine to which we were refused service because we were "too drunk and someone had complained about us (the people we were talking to asked the hostess if we can join their table so no one complained about us). After standing for 2 hours outside, the only thing drunk about me were the soles of my feet crying for help. The manager then comes out to tell us they can "offer some french fries or something" while we wait but they cant serve us because we almost tipped their heater over. A complete and utter lie stemming from this hostess who got offended for us asking for an update (literally her job).As other reviews state, the customer service here is worse than a jack in the box. It is shocking the owner allows this and I would recommend staying completely away from this place.

Horrible experience. Got there at 6:30 and put our name in for our group of 4. The hostess told us they are going to text us and it will say the wait time is 2 hours, but that a ton of people put their name in and don't show up so the wait is realistically more like 45 minutes. We came back at 7:15 and bought a bottle of wine while we waited. By 8pm we asked the hostess when our table would be ready and she said there were still 6 tables ahead of us.We went and bought another bottle of wine, at the check out the woman behind the counter told us that we were too drunk and wouldn't serve us another bottle. She claimed that we had multiple complaints from guests and staff that we were knocking tables over and being out of control when all we were doing was standing outside talking to each other. Lie #1.The manager came out and was incredibly combative, and when we mentioned that the hostess told us our table would be ready over an hour ago, the hostess backtracked and told us that she never said that. Lie #2.Hostess is a liar, manager was very rude. We had multiple groups backing us up saying the hostess told them the same thing and that we weren't causing any issues. We left without ever sitting down. Will never be back. Terrible experience all around. The pretentious staff needs a reality check.

1 trick pony. We had high hopes for this place. Most of the service staff is good, except for the obvious hostess that most reviews point out- D something. Owners- hopefully you have enough insight to heed the pattern in the reviews. If not, here are some really brilliant spots in Venice Beach; @si.monla, @thebutchersdaughter_official and our favorite @paloma_venice. These places have a much broader and better menu, a full bar...and are chill spots without the gimmick attitude of trying too hard.

Not impressed with the food, except with the burger (great!). Overall left disappointed, felt wronged by the high rating and the prices $$$. The food is really fresh and that may be why the flavors are so subtle… if you like fishy fish, bold and tasty flavors this place is not for you. It will give you basic flavors that end up being unmemorable. Also, staff could be a little friendlier.

I’m very disappointed in my experience at Dudley today. I’ve eaten here many times but today we waited 45 minutes for a table (totally fine!) to be seated and told 45 minutes later we had to leave the restaurant because people were waiting for our table. They took our food before we were done and forced us to finish our drinks early. No apologies, no thank you, just rudely shuffled out of the restaurant as if we did not matter. For a locals place this is not what I’ve experienced or expect. If this is the future of Dudley Market I’ll have to not visit again.

It can be a little difficult to get reservations here but after one visit, I can see it is WORTH IT! You can't beat the raw oysters and everything we had was delightful. The place is small and intimate, but the server was attentive and genuine and we never felt rushed. We sat on the patio around sunset and the view was so peaceful and romantic. The place was super busy but still relaxing on the patio. I can't wait to go back!
