Vegetable options galore. So much flavor! Desserts were fabulous. Service was attentive and friendly. We were happy customers.

I am obsessed with Gjusta, their deli/bakery and have wanted to eat at Gjelina for years. While it is a gorgeous space and there were a few outstanding dishes (still dreaming about the bay scallops and the chanterelle mushrooms in a sunchoke beschamel sauce, and the date cake w/ginger ice cream was also delicious), overall for the price and build up though, I unfortunately wasn't super impressed. The roasted carrots were not roasted...they were basically raw, which was disappointing, though the flavors were great. Other dishes were good but didn't blow us away. Also, the staff all seemed a bit rushed and slightly annoyed. Granted, everything in the world is intense these days so maybe it was just an off night. Might come back to try their pizza, which looked delicious but we didn't order, and would absolutely get the scallops and mushrooms again, but honestly not in a rush to go back.

Love it. Love the food. It was very good . Kids really like it too. The presentation was also top notch. Will definitely be back in 6 months for the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit renews in 6 months

Great food, fast service, loud environment. Make sure to bring a coat if you are seated outdoors.

Some of the best food in the City - each bite a delight. Bus boy went over and above in attitude, friendliness and helpfulness. Lovely rooftop at sunset. However we were slighted repeatedly by the waitress to the point that when we would otherwise have asked for modifications (three times: a dish too cold, an inaccurate check, a drink I did not like... ) - we decided not even to try. She was rude, dismissive and rushed. Given the service we saw with two much larger parties seated near us, this felt like ageism and was a sad experience for my birthday dinner!

A classic Venice dining experience, low light, lively conversation and the healthiest food imaginable drenched in sauce and charred with spice. Fair enough for la prices on the higher more casual end. The outside area is nicer than the inside. The food is delicious but not notable great if you want a no fuss healthy experience.

We love Gjelina. The food is amazing and unique. Our server was so helpful in pairing the escarole salad with our entree choice, which was orecchiette bolognese with beef cheek. The Pinot from Germany was delicious with the unctuous bolognese. For dessert, we had the salted butterscotch pot d' crème and chamomile tea. Yum. Sharing kept the cost under $100. We sat on the patio and the host offered us a table next to the fire pit. It was a cool evening, so they also lit up a gas heater, which made it super cozy as did the candle on the table. I loved it so much I wanted to camp out for breakfast...I love, love, love Gjelina's signature Moroccan Eggs. OMG, it's so good with a cup of fresh brewed coffee and grilled sourdough. But their lemon pancakes are SO yummy, too!! Can't wait to go back.

Our dinner was excellent. I hosted 2 colleagues that had not been there before and they raved about the food. The next day we tried Gusta and again a fabulous meal.

Overall, the food is excellent, though some dishes are hit or miss. However, the minimum required 20% service is absurd; the waiter simply takes your order and delivers it to your table; there is nothing in between. Am I asking too much here?

We had talked about trying Gjelina for ten years but were never forward thinking enough to make reservations. A milestone birthday made the choice and we were not disappointed. We sat on the deck, which was beautiful for a January evening. Our server Dylan went out of his way to accommodate my wine indecision by allowing me to taste a few wines before choosing a bottle. He then took time to help us with parings of food, which were absolutely perfect. He asked which dessert we were thinking of well in advance to make sure it would be available. But, thee most important point, which gets lost a lot when we eat out, we do not like to rush. We like to enjoy and savor delicious food. Dylan kept a distant eye on us and allowed us to eat at an enjoyable pace. We had a truly Five Star experience. We will definitely return to Gjelina.

Would've loved cocktails and more vegan options. But the food was great. The cauliflower was wonderful. Wide selection of wines.

Madeline was a gem, the food was good and the host desk is on it. First time but won't be our last

Gjelina is one of my favorite restaurants on the west side! 10/10 food, ingredients and drinks are always top tier. I sat at the bartop and it was fun to watch some behind the scenes and my server was a delight. I also love the aesthetic and vibe of the restaurant the only downfall is the dark moody lighting makes it difficult to read the tiny font on the menu and ya girl has 20/20 vision 😂

The three of us had a delicious meal with some real standout plates including snapper crudo and mushroom toast, butterball potatoes and roasted fennel. Really there was nothing we didn't like and we loved most of the dishes. Further, they were all really interesting in composition and flavor. The service was very good and the atmosphere very lively. A little loud for us but we are a bit older than the target demographic. All in all a great meal and we would certainly return.

Delicious pastas and had the most incredible Passionfruit Panna Cota. The inside was so cute. Will be reserving a table again!
