never go wrong here. beautiful serving staff, great food, fun vibe. had brunch and all was amazing -- maybe best bacon in town. moroccan eggs, duck hash, eggs/chorizo with blue corn grits, loved it all. def coming back.

Made an appointment got seated straight away. The lady that was serving was so kind and hospitable so were the rest of the staff. Amazing pizza, amazing dessert, amazing oysters, and the music was also quite lovely. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, with an inventive twist to familiar dishes that heightens texture and flavor. We ate for the first time on the roof top patio, which had fabulous weather and light.

Overall, our experience at was good. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. However, we were disappointed with the host's attitude, which was unwelcoming and snobbish. Despite this, we still enjoyed our meal.

Gjelina always hits. The get the best products and treat it with respect. Everything is tasty, fresh and in season. Their vegetable dishes are a MUST have, and they know how to cook fish extremely well.

Everything we ordered was great. I asked if our pizza had cilantro and was told even if it did they couldn't change the ingredients. It didn't and I was ok but it was told to me very sternly.
Our diabetic friend's blood sugar dropped and they assumed she was drunk because she became very weak and almost passed out. We asked for some soda to help her feel better and they said they don't serve soda. Which I know is incorrect. And then gave us attitude when we asked for anything that might have sugar in it. We are all grown responsible women who have always enjoyed this restaurant and we did not appreciate being treated like trashy drunks.

Our dinner was very special. The dishes were unique, the ingredients fresh and seasonal, and beautifully cooked and seasoned. We had an excellent waiter, who made a very good wine recommendation. We were absorbed in good conversation for a few hours--another indication of a satisfying meal. Can't go wrong here.
Gjelina is always great. If you have someone visiting Los Angeles, I would describe this restaurant has a quintessential LA restaurant in it's vibe, patrons, menu chock full of great produce, and delicious food. I've never had a just an ok meal here. We ended the evening with lemon pie and the panna cotta which was particularly delicious. If I can get reservations at "more normal" times (when we booked there was only 5:45pm and 9pm available), I would be here more often. The place was packed and rightfully so.

Had a fantastic lunch. We had not been in a few years & Gjelina is still on point. Not only was the food perfect, but the service was warm, fun & attentive. Our waiter David took great care of us & had a great sense of humor. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back.

The food was absolutely delicious. Once we finished our food it took over 30 minutes to get our cheque. We had to request our cheque multiple times. Went from a great experience to a negative one.
