Under new ownership which made it even cooler. Consistently good music, interesting people and a great street culture. Fun to hit before market and come back for closing. Hot staff. dynamic crowd. always different and a vibe.

Gran Blanco in Venice absolutely blew me away! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, laid-back vibe and the kind of effortlessly cool decor that makes you want to stay all night. The aesthetic is beachy-chic with a touch of modern elegance — think neutral tones, soft lighting, and perfectly curated details that feel like a scene out of a design magazine.

Now let’s talk about the food — WOW. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The flavors were bold but balanced, and you could tell everything was made with intention. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a great night out, this place delivers.

But what really made the experience unforgettable was our waiter. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being over-the-top, and genuinely passionate about the menu. He gave great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and made us feel totally taken care of — it felt like we were dining with a friend who wanted us to have the best night possible.

Gran Blanco is definitely a must-visit if you’re in the Venice area. Amazing food, top-tier service, and a vibe that makes you want to linger long after the plates are cleared. Can’t wait to go back!

Salmon tacos and espresso martinis before the packed house became a night club. Very fun spot in the heart of Venice Beach. Would recommend!

Delicious drinks, amazing ambiance, and incredible DJ. Server cold and takes unfinished drinks without asking. Floors are kinda dirty

I’ve been here a few times for drinks at the bar. The bartenders have always been wonderful. The drinks have always been good. I’m curious to come back and try the food.

Just got a late night drink here. It wasn’t that good? You order at the bar so service isn’t really existent for a $20 drink but the vibe is really relaxed and upscale- perfect for a good group to just relax and talk with one another

What happened? Gran Blanco has always been a Venice favorite. Now with the latest change, we have an Aussie restaurant, with a Spanish name, serving mediocre, overpriced “Japanese” food? Overpriced, oily, tiny portions, sad.

$11 a bottle of water, $36 for 5 tiny slices of meat… just so bad. Bad on every level.

What happened? Sad to see a favorite fall like this.

Too loud. Food was pretty much inedible - stay away from the sticky rice sticks. Beef tartare was tough and incredibly salty. Incredibly overpriced. Waitstaff took forever to first visit our table but tried to be helpful once they were there. Reality, this is a bar. That happens to serve a few overpriced bar bites. They only have 1 beer offered. Cocktails seem interesting, tried the Ritual Negroni which was nice. Would not come back.

Newest Japanese spot in the area, and I am obsessed! It feels elegant and low key. The space is stunning. Can't wait to come back and try more of the new menu.

Gran Blanco's menu and staff really know how to treat their patrons! Every dish we tried was amazing...special shout outs to the veggies...Brussel sprouts and the cabbage were an exciting new take! The shrimp, toro and Wagu tartare...amazing! You must try the Tiki Freaki! Prepare to be spoiled by the staff! We were the oldest folk in the place and it may have been a bit loud for a quiet conversation, but wow! We'll be back!
