Not fully Japanese kinda sushi spot, but been around for several decades. Solid. Sushi was good. Fresh, tasty. Hand rolled spicy tuna was just average. Best one in town is at Matsuhisha. Tempura was ok, best part is th fresh wasabi. Super tasty.

amazing. they get their fish fresh from the habor each morning.amazing selection, fast service, and even if the place is small and rather hard to find, it's worth a try.good place for beginners, although sushi has become somewhat of a fashion trend, people are becoming a bit more adventurous when they select their meals.

This place is consistently terrible. When you can finally get a server of get to your table they act like they're doing you a favor. They forget to bring dishes that you order and charge you for them. It takes 10 minutes to get a bottle of beer then they overcharge you on the bill And add money to their tip. I don't know how this place is open. The food is mediocre.

So things have really evolved here over the last 8 years since my first review. There have been major makeovers and changes, including a hidden patio area outside that can be rented for private functions. The walls are modern and sharp, whilst still paying homage to old Venice with gorgeous photos of yesteryear. The menu has had a few changes as well, some that I don't love (the green devil roll used to be my favorite, but they use such little chili oil now I rarely order it; and they no longer have my favorite wakame salad), but some welcomed new ones (oooo that one ramen bowl!). I now find my self here, if not every week, then every other week. Love it!

Sushi was ok. The chicken karage was definitely a miss because some of the chicken pieces were undercooked. I had an eel and avocado roll, a salmon roll, and chicken karage for 44 bucks. This place is way overhyped and super expensive (I guess it might be average in California standard) for what u get. The service was good until the near end of our food, where he had to let the busboy know we were ready for the check.

Good sushi in a fun atmosphere. Seems to be a locals hangout.I wasn’t a big fan of my yuzu role, but I’m willing to return and try something else here.Parking: Because of proximity to the beach, other restaurants, and the rest of Venice Beach, parking is often tight.

$90 for 4 rolls of take out and they didn’t give us soy sauce or wasabi. Never would go back ever. Horrible.

Made a reservation and got here an hour early and they were so kind and able to seat us without issues. The atmosphere was great and the sushi was amazing. Had a great experience.

A Westside staple, consistently good sushi and a variety of creative rolls. Of note the bar has tv’s overhead (you either like it or you don’t) the sushi bar is more traditional (which I recco). Outside space is nice too. Full bar & efficient staff / professional. ( ftw! ) Showing some age aesthetically… but still cutting good fish. ?

Nice vibes and decor. The food was good, we got the udon, drinks, and some salmon bites. The udon was quite salty but filing. Probably should've gotten the sushi but we were quite hungry and food was more pricey than expected. Also they were not joking about the shochu martini being

Hama sushi has the most amazing rolls! Historic spot on Windward Circle in Venice, and just a walk off the beach.Vegetarian options: There a a few veggie rolls on the menu. And edamame and shishito peppers.Parking: There is no parking lot. There is street parking around, but you have to hunt for it, be especially aware of this on Friday and Saturday nights. Immediate block is paid meter parking.
