This place has changed a lot since I was last here. The coffee… well, see for yourself. It shouldn’t have been served. Milk was burnt. Just tasted awful. Too bad.
Very good 💯
love this place but lately the music is SOOO loud and it's always like pop or rap - not like ambient music. Very hard to work here now, and I used to love doing so here but tough to focus. all the people around me felt the same and were sad about it too. Please can you reduce the volume of the music or change to something more ambient..it's a lot.
Thank you for the watery iced angelino. But pour over was quite good.
This place seriously needs new management as your employees clearly don’t want to be there. I went in yesterday (October 22) at 6:30 a.m. with my husband, and we ordered two coffees and two ham and cheese croissants. I left a 15% tip, and I wish I could take it back. The guy did not offer to heat up the croissants and when my husband asked the girl who was working if they could heat them up, she looked visibly annoyed at the request. Furthermore, I don’t know if this is just a bad store policy or what, but they don’t even bother to ask for your name, so they can call out your drink order. So unless you’re seated directly in front of where they make the coffee, you just have to kind of guess when your coffee is ready. I hope that employees get better training in customer service as it is clearly lacking. I live in the area, so I can’t say that I’ll never be back, but with so many options, this definitely won’t be my first choice when I’m looking for a great spot to grab coffee. And if you do decide to come in, skip the tip. They literally do the bare minimum here.
Cappuccino was just a tiny latte, also bitter, too hot, too full.
Thanks for the free wifi and the 5 buck caffeine bomb! ?☕

Because it was until 6 o'clock, I couldn't have the coffee I wanted, so I had Americano, and it was a perfect coffee with a slight acidity and nutty flavor. It was nice to eat because the atmosphere and seating were all right.
Parking: Parking is in a public parking lot... You have to pay about $6(?) to get it. (It’s a bit much to walk)
There is a place where you can park for free for 2 hours… It will be hard to find. I just recommend paid parking.
Kid-friendliness: Because I don’t have children… I think it will be ambiguous when the child comes.

Cool looking shop. My drip coffee was weak and see thru. Service was lacking. Asking for a rag to clean the only table availble triggered a visibly crappy attitude from the staff. Paid $30 for two croissants and two coffees, so I expected better. I shan't be back.

They don’t take cash and they don’t let you pour your own milk or cream. They ruined my drink by putting way too much cream in! Coffee is fine, but I can’t support that.

Less personable than when I had visited in the past.

They’re asking for a 25-30% tip!? For what? They don’t even call your name or your order, they just plop it on the counter with 10 others and everyone has to ask or guess what is theirs. What service do they provide that begs a 25% tip?! I get my drink and I have to put it away too in the plastic tub outside!
They need to hire someone to clean their bathroom, it’s disgusting.

Let me put it this way: I’m so hooked on Intelligentsia coffee that I even brew it at home! While I do love Blue Bottle, Intelligentsia won me over first. ? My go-tos are a classic cappuccino or an iced oat milk coffee.

Intelligentsia Coffee once stood out as a haven for true coffee aficionados, celebrated for its top-notch brews. Sadly, it seems they have shifted gears towards strange drinks like tonic water and orange bitters mixed into coffee. My latte was bland and far from the quality that once set them apart.
It feels like a race to the bottom, quickly becoming another Starbucks.
Also, the single bathroom situation at their Venice location is a mess. There’s always a line, it’s dirty, and just spoils the mood for a relaxing coffee break.
