I have been coming here since the early 80's when a friend took me here . Couldn't beleive I had never been there before. Since then I have gone with family and friends over the years. Always been good service and hot food. We try and go on nights other then on a Friday or Sat. because it does get pretty busy then. Last night My son and I went for dinner. We waited to get seated at a table , a couple people ahead of us and a few behind of us. At first I thought it was really crowded but as I looked around there was a lot of tables that had not been cleaned off. Unusual for the resturant because I remember how they use to start cleaning off the table before we left. Anyway we get seated look at the menus and notice the menus are a lot smaller then the use to be. Less items. We find what we wanted to order and thats when the problem started . No one came with the chips and salsa or asked if we wanted something to drink. It was at least a half hour before someone came over. A bit later some one took our order. We both ordered burritos, Mine was soppose to have sliced avocado in it which they forgot.. They ended up giving me a plate of sliced avocado . On top of that mine was cold. When I told the waiter he walked away. I told another one he did nothing. I asked if they could heat it up. I could see why it was cold, we waited almost a hour for our food. We were standing up getting ready to walk out when the waiter came over and said our food is ready. I said if it is ready now we have it. I could not eat mine. being cold. What a waste! While we were waiting i walked around the resturant and saw the other customers who got seated after us who were already eating their food and finishing their food . We were still waiting to place a order at that point.. When I confronted the waiter about it he said will it was only 1 person, not true . One table had 3 another table had 4. Very rude service cold food. It took almost 2 hours from start to finish . Also paying for a dinner i could not eat! What has happened to this place?? They use to be so good.

Just got done eating dinner here. I chose it based on the menu and the proximity to our hotel. So glad we tried it out! The service was spectacular! Everyone was super friendly and we didn't have to ask or wait for anything. There was always someone there checking on us or bringing us beverage refills. The place itself is cute. I love restaurants that are in old houses. I have to say it is a little loud. Not the best for conversation. The table side guac was soooo good! I had the 3 taco combo with beef. I thought the beef needed more flavor. It was kinda dry too. the refried beans and rice were also just ok. The hubby got a chicken quesadilla with rice and pinto beans and soup. His meal was so good! I wish I had gotten that. The chicken tortilla soup was really good. Definitely homemade. I could have actually just eaten a bowl of that and been happy. The prices were fair. Despite my meal not being the best, I still think they deserve 5 stars. I'd go back, just would order differently next time.

Ordered DoorDash late night. I got the carnitas nachos and asada super burrito. Horrific Mexican food, quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had. Food this bad makes you wonder how a place like this can exist. I hardly leave reviews unless the service or food is terrible and this place is terrible.

I went to this place and I liked it. My children took me for Mother's Day, everyone was fine with the services, I recommend that you go - after 5 years of not going to this Bolbi restaurant on March 12, my birthday, and the toast that I ordered, the omelet was super bad tasting rancid and I didn't eat it ??????

So good! Food is delicious, and they make the guacamole table side, very old school. Great margaritas. Classic vibe. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the city !

Really authentic Mexican food in an old fashioned Mexican ambience. The food's authentic, tortillas are hand made, and the Cadillac margaritas were yummy! Waiters are super seasoned, experienced and efficient pros. It's a dark, wonderfully old fashioned, throw back experience. Good date ambiance.

I first started coming here over 20 years ago and it is my go-to Mexican place when I am back in the LA area. I was so excited to eat lunch here since it has been awhile. Nothing much has changed since I came here a few years ago except for the menu. The chips and salsa is as good as I remembered. My only complaint this time was the burrito was served a little cold. I still plan to come back next time.

¡Wow! I absolutely love La Cabana Restaurante! No trip to Venice Beach L.A. area would be complete without our amazing food experience here! The staff is amazing and they sell cool t-shirts. One of my favorite restaurants in the world!

It was my son's 21st birthday and we needed a Mexican restaurant in the West LA area that was open on Mondays and appeared to have decent food (from the photos). La Cabana was where we landed. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly, the ambience was great, the chips and salsa were addicting, the entrees were DElicious, the desserts were mouth-watering and the prices were reasonable. We had the perfect time!! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!
