When I’m in a pinch this place is always a life saver but it is super expensive
Looks like they’re out of business.
Full disclosure I used to work here. It closed recently, The stock dwindled to nothing, and the shelves were empty. The employees kept asking what was happening. Management continually said nothing. Last Friday the locks were changed without any notice. I personally asked management on several occasions and was told no we were not closing. This is a direct quote from the Manager on Monday December 9th "I'm not sure how many times I have to tell you guys, we have no plans to close." That may be true but at that point, I learned from the landlord that they were already behind on rent. On January 7th the manager texted "As Brad (The Landlord) has already spilled the beans we need to have a meeting next week." This text makes me sure that the manager knew that Vegan Pop Up had not paid rent and that closing was a very real possibility. Vegan Pop Up closed on Friday January 10th one month and a day after the manager had assured the employees that "we have no plans to close." The real problem is not giving the employees any notice that their jobs are in danger because they can't or won't pay rent. Vegan Pop Up set up system of layers between management, the owners, and the employees so that it became very easy to make our livelihoods expendable. So we're stuck with bills to pay and no notice that we won't have any money coming in. Who do we contact? There's no HR, The manager didn't know what happened. There were no systems to make formal complaints. So here I am on Yelp, because I don't know where else to go. Plant X the parent company that owns Vegan Pop-Up has an evaluation of $11.778M. The average employee at Vegan Pop Up makes around $32,000. We would like severance pay. They can afford it. Ian Schoen (Struggling single dad)
The vegan sandwiches here are very delicious and I live very nearby. The only problem is at least half of the time they are unable to make them for you because they are missing ingredients. How can this happen this often? I honestly don't understand how they can so consistently be out of basic ingredients for the few sandwiches on their menu. And it's been happening for years. Very frustrating.

I just discovered this store and it was so great to have such a large variety of snacks and foods to choose from without having to worry about what was vegan since everything there is vegan! I had an iced matcha latte and a breakfast croissant as well, they were both delicious!!
I'm speechless! So incredibly tasty and a great selection. Everything completely vegan! Absolute fan. There is a great outside area.

We tried to go here for breakfast before catching an Uber to LAX but it was closed. Arrived at 8:10 AM, still no signs of life at 8:23. The sign is a lie :(

The best vegan sandwiches and iced maple latte! We were visiting the canals with our two dogs and wanted something quick and pet friendly, they both got treats :)
I was expecting just a vegan market with no sitting area but this place is a little hidden gem with a sitting area in the back patio.
It’s a block from the Venice canals and a few from muscle beach.
I wish they had a location in San Diego too!

Everyone was friendly and helpful to two tired travelers. Other than very expensive, but that’s to be expected in this neighborhood, all was great. Visit the patio out back. It’s sooooooo pleasant.

I really want to like this place as I live in the neighborhood and I understand that spots like this are important for vegans. As a non-vegan, I might not fully get it, but there are a few business aspects I feel need to be addressed:
1. The Employees: Every time I visit, there’s loud EDM music playing, and the staff, who should know better, seem to be half-heartedly handling the checkout process while distracted on their phones. I’m honestly surprised these employees still have their jobs.
2. The Product Selection: I came in for basic tempeh or tofu, but they only seem to stock expensive, trendy vegan products. I even paid $4.59 for chickpeas the other day. It would be great if they offered more standard staples instead of just pricey niche items. While they don’t need to cater to non-vegans, offering some basics might attract a broader customer base.
3. The Confusion: The place feels confusing—there’s a new painting on the front every month, and though it’s labeled as a pop-up, it’s clearly not. It just seems poorly managed, and no one really knows what this place is supposed to be.

Super cute coffee shop in Venice. Went to pick up my friend in Venice before our workout class and I came across this super cute coffee shop. What caught my eye was they had psychedelic water so I had to go check them out. I got their maple vanilla latte and it was super tasty but most of all the espresso they use is really good. I’m a picky coffee drinker and only like cafe luxxe in malibu and their coffee reminded me of my favorite coffee spot in malibu❤️

The Westside breakfast sandwich and chickpea salad sandwich were both very good. Love all the vegan options in here! If you’re vegan, this is the place for you.
