Restaurants don't have the same quality they used to have. They just don't care about presentation anymore. I was excited to come here cause I've never been and tried the raschiatelli. But then you get served scattered pork, random sauce in the middle, with freakn bunch of bread crumbs everywhere and serve it. I didn't complain cause Ospi has good reputation and taste is bomb! It is very authentic Italian and the flavor was good but seriously bread crumbs and pasta don't go together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Seriously only a sprinkle for garnish and even that's a maybe). What use is it to go eat out if that's the kind of food you get served with?
P.S. I would always get rid of bread crumbs when I get them from pasta meal kits or use them for fried chickuhn. Either way not with pasta!
Had an incredible experience. Rikki from Australia was our server and she was incredible. I have tons of dietary restrictions and she was patient and knowledgeable about handling them. The food was so good we ordered another plate of the spicy rigatoni because we couldn’t get enough. Rikki was super kind and had a great energy that made it more enjoyable to dine here.
Dietary restrictions: Amazing experience handling my allergies (seafood, tree nut, sesame seed allergy)

Don’t expect to find authentic Italian food. The cacio e pepe looked and tasted as if it were served with béchamel sauce. The spicy pork pasta is good, but everything is over-flavored; it’s hard to taste the ingredients when they overuse seasoning. It’s more like an Italian (and trendier) Cheesecake Factory. The kale salad was good, and the service is good as well. I prefer Gjelina for the same price and more elegant flavors.

Ospi Venice was an incredible dining experience for my family and me! From start to finish, everything was absolutely delicious. We started with the garlic bread, meatballs, and crispy provolone cheese—each dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For my entrée, I had the spicy rigatoni, which was hands down my favorite part of the meal. The sauce was rich and delicious, and the texture of the pasta was just amazing—some of the best I’ve ever had. To finish, I had the cannolis for dessert, which were the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful dinner. The restaurant itself feels upscale yet laid-back, likely due to its proximity to the water. It had such a great mix of people, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fantastic dinner out, I highly recommend Ospi Venice. This spot is a true gem!

Very American style Italian. If looking heavy Italian food this is your spot. Don’t understand the hype.

Go for the pasta! The specialty Rigatoni Spicy alla Vodka was SO GOOD. The portion size might be a bit small, but the flavor more than makes up for it.

The Neapolitan meatballs, spicy rigatoni, lemon tagliolini, and butter chicken were all fantastic. Service was excellent and quick. I will come back the next time I am in LA.

Ospi came highly recommended, but was a bit of a disappointment. The food was nothing to write home about-- overpriced and a bit salty. Would not go back.

I had a delightful day in Venice and was looking for a place to eat when I decided to check out the menu here. The happy hour pick 3 for $30 was a great choice for my budget. It was a chilly afternoon but the outdoor patio had heaters. I opted to go inside and sit at the bar. Steve was super welcoming and very cordially explained my options and made some recommendations. I ended up trying the rigatoni with their signature vodka sauce. Very tasty and a bit spicy. You can ask for less spice if you'd like. I also enjoyed the kale salad and what a delight it was! I love nuts and this one had peanuts and a very authentic dressing, plus slices of avocado. I chose the Pinot Noir which I had never tasted - Lola. It was light and fruit forward, with cherry notes. I liked it.
It got very busy on a Sunday at around 6:00 p.m. I saw several large groups eating pizza.
Usually I talk about music, but I couldn't hear any music where I was seated.
All in all, it was a very delightful dinner to end a very fun day in Venice Beach. I recommend it.
Thank you for your hospitality and much prosperity in the future.
