Brutal. They used to make the best pasta and pizza EVER and they discontinued it. Nothing exciting on this menu anymore so disheartening! Used to be a regular.

visited the rose for brunch on a sunday around 1pm, and overall had a nice experience. it's a cute spot (loved that we got to sit outside) and the menu has some great selections. the biscuits were a highlight for me -- super flaky and buttery with coarse sea salt on top. and loved the seasonal raspberry lemonade! the lemon ricotta pancakes were just okay, and pretty pricy in my opinion. would love to go back and try the baked goods in their pastry case, which looked divine!

We had two dishes, turkey sausage and a sort of egg bowl, cappuccino with blueberry muffin, cappuccino with roses and two iced coffees. I count $100. In our opinion this is too much. The food is good I would say, but it's not worth it.

The eminence is great. We had a lovely time in general. Had a large party and they still didn't charge us a mandatory tip or fee. The food is delicious and comes out of the kitchen pretty fast, but the plates are VERY small. My partner left the restaurant still hungry. The service was amazing. I do really dislike that the restaurant charges CUSTOMERS a health insurance fee for their staff. A restaurant this size has enough of a profit to pay for their insurance, but they charge the customers instead. That left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Cute little place in Venice beach. Shared the breakfast burrito and coconut pudding with a friend. They were both very delicious! Found out later that there was also a dine in room on the right side. Would definitely return to try their lunch menu!

Mid food for bad service! Went here for dinner with my family and was pretty disappointed. The ambience is nice but the service is terrible! The staff is super nice (and hostess), but the waiters are condescending and slow! We ordered 2 non alcoholic drinks and it took about 15-20 minutes for them to take our order and another 15 for them to come out. Instead of apologizing, our waiter rudely handed us our drinks with no apology. A table next to us with a party of 7 that came 10 minutes after us got their drinks immediately! Our food took forever to come out too and the entrees took even longer. The food is alright, but not worth a wait. Would not suggest eating here unless you want to sit for a 3 hour dinner with subpar food.

It was great until a patron jeered at us. Food was good and drinks too but never know who will make you feel uncomfortable when enjoying a Saturday. Staff had no clue what happened. This didn’t ruin our brunch but certainly did not make it better.

Haven't been to the Rose in years -- it did not disappoint. ... Returning here, to is extremely nostalgic. The chef's manhattan was simply amazing and rivals any manhattan on the west side. The service was as per usual, incredible. 5 out of 5 stars . : therosevenice Chef's Manhattan [redwood empire rye, carpano antica, maraschino and angostura bitters] : Venice 220 Rose Ave, Venice, CA

Relaxing place to grab brunch or lunch in Venice. They changed their chefs though and the food just isn’t as good. The avocado toast is terrible which is a really hard food item to mess up. Cheeseburger was ok. For the price you can get a lot better food all around Venice.

We sat in the bar area which is fine, but you order at the bar so no server. We had a salad, mushrooms on toast and a roast chicken - all were side-plate sized. They wouldn’t add chicken to the salad and it wasn’t served together. The salad was literally half a bag of arugula, 4 segments of orange and a handful of pumpkin seeds for $15 (before tax). We ordered 2 alcoholic drinks and a lemonade and with the tip it came to $140. Terrible value, the mark up was extortionate. We ate right by Santa Monica pier and it was nowhere near as expensive and had decent portions. Really disappointing!
