Salt & Straw in Venice is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their small-batch ice cream flavors are unique and delicious, like their “Honey Lavender” or “Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons.” The ice cream is rich, creamy, and full of flavor—definitely a cut above the rest. It’s a perfect spot to cool off after a day at the beach or as a treat during an afternoon walk

This place offers some very unique and unusual flavours—definitely not your typical vanilla-and-chocolate lineup. Some combinations were a bit out there, but it’s a fun spot if you’re into trying new things. The waffle cones were excellent—crispy, fresh, and held up well. It’s definitely on the pricier side, so be prepared to pay a bit more than usual for your scoop. Parking can be a challenge—street parking is limited, especially on the main road. You might have better luck on the smaller side streets nearby, but it can take a few laps. Not many sitting options, there is a little bench outside and a few stools inside. Worth a visit if you’re adventurous with flavors and don’t mind a bit of a hunt for parking!

Been a HUGE fan of Salt n Straw since I lived in Portland in 2014. I usually sample all of their seasonal flavors :)
During this visit, I ordered a split scoop of the Oishii Strawberry Pretzel Salad and the Huckleberry Cornbread Pudding. The strawberry-pretzel and huckleberry-cornbread pairings worked incredibly well. The only sad part about the seasonal flavors is that once that season passes, they no longer produce that ice cream flavor. I wish they would move some of the seasonal flavors to their permanent rotation because I've had some flavors that FAR surpass their standard menu.
Big fan of their ice cream and will continue to be a lifelong happy customer.

For starters, I think the ice cream is made fresh. And get this—they actually put real cake pieces in their ice cream, no joke. They also have seasonal flavors which is pretty cool. Definitely come by and give it a try! I know I’m coming back for more.
