The ambiance of the Penmar Wednesday wine event was great, however things quickly took a turn when we realized we paid to get into an event as couldn't get any service. I stood in a long line and finally ordered my tacos, after an hour and the event almost coming to an end, I still never got my food. I got up multiple times to after that if my food was coming out because the event was ending and we need to leave, to which I was met with multiple let me check on that's. I asked if I could take it to go or if not have it canceled, we waited another 20 min to not hear anything and when I asked again, they said my order was canceled. I left starving and extremely angry I paid to get into this 'event' if you want an ounce of service I'd recommend heading to quite literally any other pub. When I got up to ask for updates, I witnessed multiple other people saying they had been waiting for lengths of time. Oh and the band never played on this stage they had us in front of or in the section roped off for the event, it played indoors for all the men who just finished golf.

Had fun happy hour drinks here in the rain during March Madness. They have food TVs and great Happy Hour specials until 7pm daily, including $3 off all cocktails so I tried the Puff Puff Give first, and then their Spicy Margarita- the spicy margarita was one of the best I've had in awhile. My friend's wings were tasty but you only get 5 wings in the HH order and the steak on my nachos was the best part about them. The nachos were supposed to have melted queso per the menu description but I could barely find any cheese on them (and definitely not the melty/queso kind of cheese I was expecting) - please make nachos cheesier! Brunch looks great so I'd go back to try other items.

Lets start off with the ambience... the place is open and chill, great place to hang out after around of golf... its open with a great view of the golf course. They have many awesome cocktails I've tried the Jalisco Blossom And Puff Puff their presentations are beautiful-the bar manager Has made an amazing cocktail list... and the food is pretty great... you get your moneys worth... they offer a Happy Hour menu and live music on Fridays.... I'll be back and would tell others...

Best wings in LA. Also, my wife says “tell them how good the happy hour deal is”. It is, I concur.Parking: Many spots

A really cool restaurant at the Penmar public 9-hole golf course. They fully-renovated the restaurant a few years ago, and now I actually go and eat there when I'm NOT GOLFING. Its a charming golf course restaurant with ample outdoor seating, but limited indoor seating. I live wirhin a 3 min drive away, and can walk down the hill to this golf course restaurant. It has a "country club" restaurant vibe. "BOUGEE/Bougie" has been described as "someone who's considered middle class yet wants to be upper class and is determined to live a wealthier, flashier, more lavish lifestyle.: Hmm, describes "The Penmar."They have a nice variety of beers on tap as well as a full bar for cocktails. But I go for the food, but the menu changes. The first time we had wings, gourmet hot dogs, burgers and tacos. Tonight, I got the Philly cheesesteak with provolone, grilled peppers and onions. It was delicious! The negative is that it closes it 8pm.Parking: Ease of parking depends on how busy the golf course is. The best time is at sunset, when most golfers are leaving or gone, and you can easily park and have nice, tasty meal.

Want a spot off the grid. This is nice little get away. Watch some golfers or get in a round before or after you eat. Very good menu lots to choose from. Breakfast or lunch, The staff was very nice and attentive. Very clean inside with outside seating as well. Good portions for the price. Got a nice healthy breakfast and took off to the beach.

This is painful to write. Knowing this is a beloved local haunt with ties to my family, I am so very disappointed in the service at the Penmar. Food and drinks are always on point, thankfully. However, the last 3-4 times I've been for breaky, the service is wholly lacking and discouraging. This is where either the staff is inexperienced and not well trained, or the establishment does not hire and pay wages commensurate of skilled staff. Yes, I know it's not the Polo Lounge, but ordering a meal, coffee or drinks, and having to ask for utensils, creamer, sugar, refills, straws, napkins, condiments, the bill, or boxes repeatedly just sucks!!! These are basic dining tools and should not be consistently overlooked and arbitrary. We as patrons feel like pests, having to ask for very basic service items. Upon said requests, the staff does not acknowledge nor share smiles, or friendly gestures toward us. Not good. We often felt like "pulling rank" saying we are regulars, spend several dimes here, or that we know the management, etc, but we don't. We don't feel welcomed anymore. Please do better Penmar. Your neighbors and friends love the food, concept, and ambiance you once provided and want to continue to support you!

The most underrated sports bar/cafe/outdoor restaurant/concert venue in the west side. The penmar restaurant is very unique in the ambiance and the way they operate. They have these huge live music events with a carnival like setup once a week. They're fun but the drinks and food are overpriced. Venue costs they say. But all in all still worth the experience. But on any of the other days, this is a hidden restaurant/bar gem. Happy hour everyday. They have a Jumbotron to watch sports games and a pretty spacious outdoor area overlooking the golf course. The environment is not overwhelming, but inviting and cozy.Family and dog friendly atmosphere. I've been going here for the past year and they continue to get better. The service is always great and the food and drinks are as good as any bar. Definitely would recommend checking it out for breakfast! But they also have great lunch and dinner options. The ambiance is unmatched, you step into the outdoor patio and it's like you're in a park. Overall a really nice spot to hangout!

I liked burgers and brunch here, but their pizza was not tasty or flavorful at all. The crust was burnt, too.

First time family dinner on vacation. Staying nearby and the local suggested it for a fast experience and a great place for the kids. The burger was okay, not great and I did expect it to be better. Standard fries, nothing special there. Ate most of my son's pizza and that was like a frozen pizza from a school lunch. My wife and daughter were happy so this is a solid three star place in our estimation. The draw is that the kids can play on the putting green within sight of the outdoor dining option.

Sunday afternoon at a public golf course in Venice/Santa Monica, CA. The football games were on, and there was a tennis match. We were outside on a patio with others cheering for opposing teams, burgers and beer, and an amicable rival atmosphere.

GFI. Why is there no sterio to the left of the stage. For your sunset concerts (which are awesome) it sounds like all the sound is behind you. Add two speakers to the left of the stage.
