The Venice West Reviews
Weekend "wake and bake" late morning shows are always dead. Like hardly anyone there. Maybe book some bands that have a following instead of thinking people are going to magically come. What do you expect when you pay bands peanuts. Embarrassing for the venue, embarrassing for the band IMHO.
GREAT VENUE! LAST NIGHT WAS MY FIRST TIME. Love the set up. The vibe. The decor. Last night's bartender was great good vibe from her as well. chill atmosphere. KRS- One was off the hook ❤️ He signed my boyfriend's hat. ECA De EsPaDaS on youtube with Tha CUATEZ
Had an outstanding night watching Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express at the Venice West. Venice West is an intimate venue with a perfect layout for live performances. Dinner was enjoyable and the staff was helpful and friendly. Now for the main event... Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express put on a heck of show. The band was tight and rocked the house. Every song was a hit and our group was blown away. Thanks for making great music! Looking forward to returning again for another...read full review

The Venice West is a popular live music venue in the heart of Venice Beach, offering an intimate setting for performances. The staff is known for their polite and helpful service, and the reasonably priced drinks make it a favorite among locals. This venue has hosted notable acts like Bedouin Soundclash and John Cruz, and is a popular spot for the Grateful Brunch on Saturdays from 12 noon to 3 PM, where exceptional service is provided.
The venue is praised for its fun and lively atmosphere, with many people enjoying the live music and brunch offerings. The bartenders are described as handsome, nice, and attentive, and the place is noted to be large and clean. While the bottled beer selection is limited, the venue has a full bar with many beers on tap. Visitors often find parking challenging, as they usually have to search for street parking or risk nearby lots that may close when the business does. Despite this, the venue remains a great place to visit, offering delicious food and drinks, and fantastic live entertainment.
Recent reviews highlight a welcoming security team and attentive bartenders, though some mention that service from a server named Ava was not satisfactory, with late drinks and food and a dismissive attitude. The venue hosts excellent concerts, with impressive sound, lighting, and stage setup making it ideal for intimate performances. Visitors have enjoyed the fried pickles, despite some finding them too salty, and appreciate the reasonably priced drinks and generous pours. Parking may require some patience, but the lively atmosphere, good music, and friendly crowd make The Venice West a fun and memorable spot for live entertainment.
