I had dinner at the Venice Whaler and really enjoyed the experience. The food was good, and the service was friendly and attentive. We started with the calamari for appetizers — fresh and nicely cooked. For mains, I had the cod fish sandwich, which was excellent, and the smashed burger, which was also very good. The outdoor seating is beautiful, with a great view of the pier. Overall, a great spot to enjoy good food and a relaxed atmosphere by the beach

Not enough staff to give great service to customers. Nothing against Our server. Can not taste clams on the chowder. It’s is more of a potatoe celery soup

Great vibe, good food, solid portions and I love that's indoor/outdoor with a very social atmosphere. It's a fun part of Venice. I recommend the coconut shrimp

Iconic bar off the end of Venice pier and the premier spot to watch the sunset on the roof terrace. They make an excellent margarita to go along with your view. There is a nominal server to take care of the whole rooftop - this can get a bit chaotic during peak times. It can also be excessively loud on weekends as they have a DJ upstairs with a low ceiling. I would recommend a sunset drink midweek, or go for their weekend brunch which is a lot of fun.

We visited the Venice Whaler twice on our trip - once for dinner and once for lunch. Drinks were good and the menu has something for everyone. Enjoyed the outdoor seating very much! At night they have patio warmers and blankets for warmth.
Neat place on the beach! Place always seemed busy so we tried it and only had some wings and couple glasses of wine but all was good.
There's seating areas outside, inside, upstairs etc. the atmosphere felt a bit like we were sitting in a garage but some may like that!
