This place was so good!! Food was amazing. I would highly recommend the yellowtail, steak, and the hash browns. Vibes were good too.

Food was amazing, and service too. It was fast but not very attentive. The atmosphere was very dark outside but nice.

We love this place for a sunny lunch/brunch on the weekends to grab a burger, some drinks and the kale salad we love. You can’t beat the prices and being able to catch some sun in a non pretentious manner. Not giving 5 stars because the girl working the bar has been consistently rude and doesn’t seem to enjoy her job which is kind of a buzz kill but otherwise 5 stars ✨

This place is INCREDIBLE. The ribeye is unbelievable and the steak sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Don’t leave without the stuffed hash browns… or the lava cake!-

I work and live in the area and can honestly say that amongst all of the Rose avenue restaurants, American beauty is one of my favorites; a place I recommend to all out-of-towners. The menu never disappoints and every time I bring family or friends we are very well taken care of! I can’t remember everyone who has served us but Nick, Steph, Ana, and Hannah have been more than exceptional. Whether you’re hungover in the morning and just need a burger, or your grandparents are in town and you want to take them to dinner, American beauty is the place.

I feel like it wasn't quite as good as I remember, but still a great vibe and good food.

Great food, staff, ambiance! We ate the brussel sprouts with spicy kimchi aioli, celeriac dish, and salmon with herb salad. All very flavorful! I’d go back!Dietary restrictions: Accommodated allergens.

I had one of the best experiences here on Christmas Eve. The food, service, and atmosphere were perfect. The chicken liver parfait, Brussels, lamb, and filet mignon were my highlights. It all cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Their drinks are fire too. Perfect date night ❤️

FACTS:Had steak and cheesecake (my dining partner did not)Later that night I began vomiting and terrible diarrheaIt got progressively worse over the coming days to the point I had to go to the ER where I was given IV fluids and various medicationsIt lasted for a week, and I tested positive for a bacterial contaminantI am finally getting back to normal Suffice to say, I will NOT be patronizing American Beauty again

More like “American Disaster!” This place peaked at the “Window” and it’s a pity that the ocean front location shut down.Everything was under cooked. The prawns showed up still moving raw on the inside. The old fashion had to be reordered twice because the liquor requested was unavailable. The burger was mediocre, nothing like the Window version and the cheese wasn’t even melted. The place was half empty from 645-830. It won’t be long until this space is up for lease. Half of the homeless population in Venice lives in the public parking on Rose, super dangerous.Parking: If you enjoy parking your car around a bunch of homeless people this is your spot!

Excellent restaurant with a couple of minor flaws. The steak knives are barely sharp enough to cut butter. And when we were first seated outdoors in the open area, the stink of sewage was in the air. They moved us to another table in the covered area, and that resolved that. But it's unfortunate because the open area had nice fire pits. Now for the good part, my favorite parts of the meal were the Lamb chops with spicy eggplant and tzaziki, the hash brown potatos, and the celery root. Although the NY steak was cooked to perfection, it was a bit chewy with parts of the fat getting stuck between our teeth. For appetizers, I really enjoyed the dipping sauce of the grilled asparagus as well as the maple sauce of the endive salad. The complimentary sparkling water was a nice touch. We ended up having dessert at home.

Incredible food. Everything is a must try. We ordered the Mac and cheese, the salmon steak, and the filet. If you’re going to get anything, order the Mac and cheese. It was by far the best we’ve ever had. Same goes for the salmon. Sweet and savory seasonings with nuts, not overwhelming and certainly did not disappoint. Filet would have been better if I ordered bone marrow or some other topping with it, but by itself it was tender and cooked perfectly. Definitely check this place out!

Loved the vibe. Food and desert were perfect but the drinks were not as satisfying. I loved the smell of bbq in this place. Cool LA hippie vibe! We were a largo group and vert demanding but there were patient with us. I personally prefer sitting outside next to fire places but our group were cold so we sat inside. The steak was perfect, and the fish was pretty good looking. I wish I have tried the burger too since it looked pretty yummy.
