That burger looks good, right? Sadly, my burger was overcooked and the egg on it was undercooked. It wasn’t great. The fries, however, were top notch - imagine McDonalds with rosemary. Atmosphere is literally “right on the beach.” 20% mandatory tip for counter service… meh. I typically tip that anyway. Whatever.

Venice Ale House is a great little spot right on the boardwalk of Venice Beach. Perfect for grabbing a cold one while people-watching or taking in the beach views. They’ve got a solid selection of craft beers, with plenty of local options to choose from.

The vibe is laid-back and fits the Venice Beach scene perfectly. It’s not a huge place, so seating can be limited during busy times, but the atmosphere and location more than make up for it. Great pit stop...

To automatically have 20% gratuity added and then have the screen prompt you to tip more is wild. 20% assumed is crazy. The fries were 2/5. Fish tacos 3.5/5. I’ve been here before and I swear it used to be a vibe. Maybe I just caught it on an off day.
