The food is fantastic! We had spicy dumplings, Sushi rolls and Pad Thai. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were outstanding! - (Not the ridiculous appetizer size portions a lot of Japanese restaurants serve). We went on a rainy weekday evening, the atmosphere was quiet. The place has an upscale neighborhood feel to it, extremely warm and comfortable. The service was spot on, we never waited or had to try to get the attention of our server, she was on great.

Not just one of my favorite sushi restaurants but one of my favorite restaurants period! The ambience is always great. The food is always fabulous. The service is impeccable. Very friendly vibe. We used to come all the time when we lived on the west side and now that we live in the valley we still are willing to drive to Venice in order to enjoy Wabi.

Start to finish a great experience. Inspired to visit by Seed Oil Scout app and the apparent focus on quality and healthy ingredients. Food was fresh and flavorful and creative, design was on point and the best part was the service. We came early in the evening before a flight out and felt spoiled to be taken care of by the manager, the amazing chef himself and two other ridiculously warm and attentive servers. Everyone working there was kind and welcoming. Def recommend.

hostess ignored us for 10, really bad service. servers milling around waiting on noone, we left after another 10 min, place was empty, what are you paying the staff to do here??

I visited on 10/3/25, called before coming here and was told there would be no wait for a party of 2. I walked past at least 5-6 empty tables outside (and plenty more empty ones inside) but when I got up to the host I was told the wait was 45+ minutes. I told him about the call I had just made and I asked if we could sit at one of the empty tables outside and I was told no. The host was Instantly rude and very unprofessional, I will never be eating at this establishment. If they keep this up I doubt they'll be around much longer.
I don't care if their food is any good I'll never eat at a place that treats a customer like that.

First: Restaurant has several options for seating - booths outside that are charming, a covered inside garden area with booths and tables which is where we always sit, or inside at the sushi bar, the regular bar, or the inside tables. Second: Staff are delightful - very professional, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Third: Food is delicious. We always order the crispy rice with spicy tuna, the yellowtail special and the Tiger King sushi roll. Nobody does these dishes better! Bar creates great drinks. Parking: You can usually find street parking on Rose or a side street if you don't mind walking a block or two.
Wabi on Rose is a beautiful place to have an elegant meal. We sat outside in the round tables by the road, perfectly ensconced by the plants wrapping around the table. The heater eliminates the slight chill from the ocean fog. The food was fresh and interesting. The server forgot a few of our orders but that was no big deal

My wife surprised me with a tray of sushi for my birthday. Sushi= 10 Fish is fresh and quality. Taste= 10 The different rolls and sauces are great. Plating=10 The tray was laid out beautifully. I devoured it.

It was so loud and they played hardcore rap music. We couldn't hear one another speaking. We asked politely to have the music turned down and they were VERY rude. It ruined the entire night we payed, left our full drinks and had to go next door. Beware they have a DJ and it's more of a weird empty VERY LOUD nightclub vibe on certain nights. Was never like that before. Not going back anymore due to the service and vibe. How sad.
