The Gumbo is amazing as far as flavor, but the rice is like bag uncle Ben’s rice or something & cold…Mac & cheese is really great. But all 3 times I ate here food comes out cold; it almost seem as though the food is not made to order … it’s just cooked somewhere or earlier in the day perhaps; the temperature is served as if it was on a warmer not freshly cooked & with the wait time you would think all food would be piping hot

A puddle of mac n cheese arrived in the delivery order I made. Texture is so important here. And throw it away, just put it in a pan and let it boil for about 10 minutes before it was remotely edible. Let's face it, nobody wants to be eating macaroni soup. Also the mashed potatoes tasted processed, as though either the gravy came from a can or the potatoes came from a box.

I have been here three times with families from Australia. I have also ordered food to take home. It's a great place for southern comfort food. It is smaller than their location in New Orleans, but has many of the quality and offerings. There is a small vegetarian options by ordering the sides. Serving was big. We recently went for DineLA, and for less than $20 you get two pieces of chicken and two sides plus corn bread. Try the lemonade, it is so good. The staff was attentive when we went, but there was a time when there was only on staff (so be patience). The food were well seasoned for the times that we have eaten there, and the sides are large enough for sharing.

Vegetarian options: They have a great salad mac and cheese, fries etc. Not big, but it shouldn't deter you from going to eat with friends that do eat meat.

Parking: There is a parking space in the back, and plenty of street parking

Went during LA food week, and the food was amazing for the price point. The service was lack luster but could have had more attention to detail. The manager seemed only focus on "regular" clients and not everyone. If you're in the area, check them out. It could be a hit...or miss.

The food wasn’t worth the price. The only things that were enjoyable were the catfish and cornbread. Chicken and shrimp tasted like they were cooked in burned oil. Mac and cheese was overcooked. Red beans and rice were under seasoned. All in all a pretty subpar experience for the money that I spent

The cabbage and red beans tasted old and reheated. The service was even worse. The waitress never asked how we were doing or how if we're enjoying our food, she was very awkward. We mentioned we were displeased with a few items and no apology was given. She took the plates and said nothing. The owner went to a few tables skipped ours the place is small so it was obvious. Overall, the quality and taste of the food is inferior to the New Orleans location. not worth the price for terrible service and subpar food. If you grew up eating southern food , do yourself a favor and skip.

Staff was nice. Ambience was lacking. The place smelled sorta weird

The macaroni was over cooked. Pretty mushy. Flavor was good but would benefit with an al dente cook, and a spiral noodle like cavatappi.

The potato wedges were under cooked. Not as crispy as they could be nor as soft.

The chicken was hot and fried well.

The corn bread was good.

I won’t be returning but glad I tried it.

Best red beans and rice, chicken, and corn bread! After visiting New Orleans a few years back, I’ve been searching for red beans and rice that taste like straight out of New Orleans. This place does just that!

Still the best in all the West but for the love of what's good bring an iced tea to the arsenal of drinks. Pro tip: I prefer to deliver from this location as the chicken has time to cool down.
