Baja Bay Surf n Taco

It took over an hour to get our food and it was subpar at best. The staff had no idea whose order was whose, we observed wrong orders being brought out to so many different people. If you told me it was a soft opening to test the waters I would have believed it but this is an established restaurant. The steak had zero flavor. We were so excited to try this place based on reviews but it fell way short. Customer service was not great and there was no communication as to why they were taking longer than told. When people would go to the front with a complaint they got brushed off…”well we’re busy” or “well that’s just how it tastes”. We ended up having to go up and order some chips and salsa just to hold my kids over. Salsa should not have an inch and a half thick pieces of tomato in it. My fish taco was okay. The steak taco was flavorless. My teen son ordered a steak quesadilla and after a couple bites couldn’t eat it because there was no flavor…even with sauces it just wasn’t any good. Very disappointed

A small place that doesn't disappoint. We finally had a chance to try Baja Bay and well worth the trip. The fish tacos are by far better than Neptunes Net, the food has that home cooked flavor and the steak tacos are nothing I've tried before. This place feels like family cooking and you're the guest. Their salsas add that extra level of kick and flavor but nothing their specialty Agua frescas can't handle. I'm already looking forward to making the trip back and try other items on their menu.

Super delicious crispy halibut taco. Homemade tortilla and house cilantro salsa and fresh greens made it “dah bomb”! Give these guys your business, you will not be disappointed!

Great spot in the harbor for fish tacos. They are $7 each. I had two (1 grilled & 1 fried) they are big and come with a side of chips.

I recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite on the go.

Inside is small. I sat outside and enjoyed the breeze.

Lovely Christina is proud of her food and after one bite.....I'm an addict. I have been visiting the area for 14 months and (wrongly) assumed the food might be meh and touristy because of the Harbor Village location. WRONG! Get you some right now

Dietary restrictions: I work out plenty, get my 10,000 steps a day and consume a whole foods diet with a daily quota of 140 G protein and a total calorie count of 2580. The grilled fish tacos and the shrimp tacos on organic purple maize tacos are perfect for my diet and SOOOOO delicious! Bursting with nutrition, flavor and freshness. The look on Christina's face when you tell her how delicious her food is will make your day & put a lump in your throat. I don't eat sweets but I consider it the dessert

This just isn't the same place it was for years. The food is good and I enjoyed the burrito and tacos, but it ends there. It's a tourist trap pure and simple. The prices have been jacked through the roof, the menu is a fraction of the size that it used to be, the salsa bar is gone, there's no specials, no deals, no reason for the locals to visit this place- it's a boutique priced dining experience with less to offer. Where I used to eat there multiple times a week, now, probably never again.

I finally found my taco shop!!! The best fish taco I've had in the Ventura area! The homemade tortillas are a perfect touch. The staff is friendly and working non-stop to accommodate their customers. I will definitely be back to support this local family business. Love the vibes, food is amazing and the staff makes you feel as if your at a family members house. All just steps away from beach.
