We sat at the bar and got a couple drinks so we could listen to the live music. When we were ready to leave there was no-one to get our check. I stood up and still they ignored me. We had to tell them we were leaving to prod them to get our check.

Nice location within Ventura marina village. Average “to be expected” food but reasonable and met our needs.

I visited this restaurant twice with friends. Maybe we were just unlucky with our servers, but both times the service was very poor. The servers seemed to lack any training. The second time at this restaurant was during happy hour and the Margaritas and bottled beers still appeared to be regular price (or higher) compared to most restaurants. The Margaritas were also weak and not well made. The tacos were OK but small and we had to ask 4 times to obtain napkins. When we finally received the napkins and place settings, we received two sets for three people, so we had to ask for a third set. What the unfriendly waitress was good at was asking if we were ready for more drinks or more food multiple times before we were half finished to our current drinks and food. The restaurant was almost empty at the time, so I guess the waitress was just trying to get our bill way up as opposed to rushing us to finish and move on. Margarita Villa was a bad experience and I would definitely not recommend. Glenn Berry

Great views average food and service! The guacamole was sub par however the salsa was nice! You order and get food before drinks and they had no working bathrooms !
