The interior is spacious with high ceilings and leans into its industrial brewery vibe. They serve a small collection of house-made craft brews on-tap in the typical crowd-pleasing genres. The curated food menu is heavy on craft pizza, but we opted for the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken shawarma sandwich. Both were excellent in their own right, each with layers of flavor that complimented each other well. I washed down my sandwich with a malty and delicious German märzen beer, while my wife chose the Italian pilsner. Can't wait to go back and try their pizza.

Bright Spark is our family's go to for a fun and safe night out where we can bring our little. Can kids run wild? Absolutely not. But can they enjoy a slice of pizza or pita with hummus and dance or play aboard game with parents? Absolutely! Cool, laid back atmosphere, good drinks, tasty food, great events, consistent, wonderful staff... just a cool place we enjoy with our family and friends. BS is my favorite go to.

Good beer but a flight of 4 is a bit too expensive at $16 which I believe adds up to just one pint of beer. A pint of beer here is $8-9 which still seems a bit high imho. Let's just say I only had 2 flights here and after tax and tip it was $40 and I barely got a buzz.

I should have written this review sooner. Bright Spark is one of my favorite places in Ventura. It's a great brewery, a great restaurant and and a family-friendly space for my two young kids. We have had family dinners, date nights, birthday celebrations and just casual friend meet-ups at Bright Spark. Anytime we have people visiting from out of town this is our first stop to show them what Ventura is like.
I have also gotten the opportunity to get to know the owners Tim and Linzy. This is a true family operation with Tim brewing and Linzy building an amazing menu and programming. They are so welcoming and are obviously pouring so much of themselves into this place. It's always a treat to get to see them and say hi.
I would be remiss to not highlight some of my favorite food and drink: * Beer: Sailor's Veil Hazy IPA (pictured) * Pizza: Sausage & Garlic Confit (the Labneh yogurt sauce balances this thing out - it's to die for) * For the kids: Mac & Cheese - this is the real deal house made and so good, not from a box.
I could go on and on about this place. Definitely give it a try - you won't regret it!

I was first introduced to Bright Spark In March at the Ventura Beer Experience. We talked with a lovely couple behind the table and tasted Day Trip, which has become my all-time favorite.
We were introduced to a concept called Musical Bingo that day, and I was delighted to make my first visit to the brewery on my 55th birthday in May.
Every single one of the employees there was kind, gracious, and warm. The food was absolutely amazing and the Musical Bingo is so much fun!
I have since been dragging people left and right there and recommending you guys because of what a great laid back family-friendly atmosphere it is.
I will be back again and again and again. and I will bring everyone I can with me! 😊🎶🤘🏼
