Mike treats you like a local. Pours heavy. Tells you about every wine. The service is in point. The ambiance is super chill. Makes you want to stay The entire time. Definitely will be back. The reds, whites, roses, and ports are in point.

Lester Family Cellars Winery & Tasting Room is a hidden gem in the Ventura area, offering a modern speakeasy-like tasting room and exceptional wines, particularly their stellar reds. The family-owned and operated winery creates wines that are made to be enjoyed with friends and family. Visitors are welcomed like family and can experience the fruits of the owners' years of dedication to their craft.
The tasting room is not too large, but there is additional sitting in the barrel room where they often host special events. The tasting room is located in a business park, so there is plenty of parking space. Another perk is that Lester shares their barrel room space with another boutique winery, Trois Le Fou, so visitors can visit two wineries without leaving the premises.
The owners are known for their personable, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth approach. They offer tours of the winery and provide a great tasting experience. The wines are consistently praised, with the Sauvignon Black and Syrah being particularly popular. Visitors often feel like they are part of the Lester family when they visit.
