This ain’t even Real Mexican food taste like school lunch. I ordered a burrito and it had mozzarella cheese on it. Almost like a Taco Bell bean cheese burrito. Not it

Long time Ventura resident here, And this is the OG Corrales on Thompson and Santa Cruz. We will never get our burritos anywhere else, they are fast, and the food is always excellent. Call ahead is absolutely the way to go if you do not like to wait.

Please wrap your burritos better. This is the second time and your staff didn’t care when I brought it to their attention.

Mostly I'm adding a review so I can upload a pic of their menu since there aren't any recent ones. I love their burritos and nachos. It's definitely not classy and their service is very mediocre. The big guy who works the window couldn't care less whether you're there or not. Wait times are surprisingly long sometimes. That said, I still go back.

Good Mexican food, love sitting outside on the benches to eat. Salsa is good, with a little kick and they aren’t stingy with any of the ingredients.

A ventura classic. Burritos are smaller but absolutely delicious.

?SALTY?
The nostalgic silhouette of what looks to be a former Taco Bell spot has left me with dehydration and a sodium injection for the rest of the year. It used to be a place I enjoyed to get chicken tacos, Chile rellenos, cheese enchiladas, rolled tacos and the SALSA, Oh the Salsa. EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE SALSA. I don't know what happened but it's saltyy. I judge a place by it's Horchata and it makes a lot of sense that they serve Ole fountain style. ?
Okay, let's talk burritos. I waited all day to have a glorious burrito, but what I paid $17 for was not it. $12 for a base burrito, adding sliced avo $3 (I got a dollop of GUAC NOT SLICED AVOS) $2 per Tbs of Sour Cream (I could have bought a dollop of Daisy). I didn't get a good bite of meat until midway, but when I did it was OLD SALTY MEAT. Not freshly made with love ?. HEARTBREAKING that we threw them away and spent almost $40 after tax....
Don't expect free chips or customer service here either, just salt. Shoulda went next door.

The food here is great, flavor is on point, one of my favorite burritos period! The service could definitely be better is all I will say both in person and over the phone.
