Gotetsu - Kushiyaki and Sake House

Real as you can get izakaya experience, great skewers, Sapporo draft. Made me real happy eating here. Definitely more expensive than the genuine article but it's in America so what are you gonna do. The only thing I felt could use improvement was the kabocha. Master was super nice and willing to speak Japanese with me, which is a huge plus.

It was a nice change of pace. Kinda tight quarters and busy. But it was a Friday night. The hand roll was really good. The service was prompt and old fashioned like. They had outdoor seating with heaters which kept us warm when it was cold outside.

This place is a VC staple worth checking out if you love Japanese food and want more of an authentic experience. The restaurant is very small so it's limited to mostly counter seating and a few 2-seat tables, but it is fun to sit and watch the crew at work grilling lots of yummy skewers. Everything is a la carte and can be ordered directly through a QR code scanned at your seat. My favorites are the shiitake mushrooms, green bean plate, the rib eye with crispy onion, chicken with plum sauce and shiso, and chicken with cod roe... All very unique and tasty choices, or you can't go wrong with the pork belly or most of the beef options as they're pretty premium cuts.

Took me back to Japan. I went before the crowd and enjoyed a delicious meal. Excellent for solo dining. Plan for street parking and make a reservation or be okay with possibly having a wait.

Had a great time here at T4. The food was prepared with lots of devotion and craft. It was a busy evening and the items didn’t come out in a particular fashion but it was well worth it and I will be back ! Delicious and fun!

One of my favorite places in Ventura County hands down! The staff are amazing and the food is to die for! I suggest it to everyone. Truly one of the best restaurants in Ventura bar none.

OMG, this restaurant is an absolute treasure and HANDS DOWN my new favorite restaurant in Ventura County. Owner Yukari is very gracious and knowledgeable as all of her skewers (vegetable, chicken, and beef) and salads are not only seasoned/marinated to absolute perfection, but presented with artistry that only a true master chef is able to achieve. Please do not hesitate to give Gotetsu a try as it is an experience that you won't find anywhere else.

Anyone wants suntory nama beer and asahi nama beer? The last time I had sundtory draft beer was back in Osaka.I bet you can’t find anything like this near.Hand made pan fried gyoza and wagyu yaki?You have to stop by to experience.Give thanks to hard works.
