Real as you can get izakaya experience, great skewers, Sapporo draft. Made me real happy eating here. Definitely more expensive than the genuine article but it's in America so what are you gonna do. The only thing I felt could use improvement was the kabocha. Master was super nice and willing to speak Japanese with me, which is a huge plus.
It was a nice change of pace. Kinda tight quarters and busy. But it was a Friday night. The hand roll was really good. The service was prompt and old fashioned like. They had outdoor seating with heaters which kept us warm when it was cold outside.
