Mestiza kitchen has definitely become one of my favorite Filipino fusion hidden gems here in the 805. Ran by an awesome and super sweet family. Small place but super cute, cozy & CLEAN! One of my favorite items is definitely the Turon! It's a dessert lumpia filled with banana and Jack fruit served warm and oh my my my! Very cute fusion Filipino shop in the (old) Toys R' Us shopping center off Johnson. Found this place accidentally while getting my nails done next door. Of course I had to head to Yelp to check out the food pics! I came here for the malaking combo (other Yelpers have posted) but they no longer serve that. Needless to say, I was very bummed.
