Mystic Water Kava Bar Ventura

Amazing atmosphere - very peaceful and relaxing. This was my first Kava experience and they made it a great one. Will definitely be back!

Stopped by Mystic Water Kava Bar in Ventura and had my first kava experience—definitely something different and really enjoyable. The kava was smooth, relaxing, and had a nice calming vibe to it. You can feel it working without being overwhelming—just a chill, stress-free feeling.

The atmosphere here is super cool—laid back, welcoming, and a great place to unwind or just hang out. Staff was friendly and made it easy for a first-timer to understand what to order. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I want something different than the usual bar scene.

If you’re in Ventura and looking to relax, this is worth checking out.

Everyone is completely wonderful. exactly what I look for in a kava bar. How it's served is different from other CA locations, which I love. 100% recommend if you're up for something new.

Weird but in a good way.

First time having kava and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff is super kind and the resident cat adds charm. The space feels cozy with a cool design and laid back atmosphere.

I loved coming here. The atmosphere was very peaceful, the kava worked wonders for my anxiety, and I just had a great time. I adore the kitty cat that lives there. I found peace in this place and I will come back!

Definitely recommend this place if you are trying to quit alcohol. Also just a nice place to relax. Definitely have to come back here when I’m in town.

Upon entry, you're greeted with a very calming vibe including the man at the counter. The bar itself is adorned in various decorations that remind me of an Ojai coffee shop or a speakeasy in Portland, OR. A little pricey, but a great experience overall.

Wow. Just wow. I love walking here after a stressful day/week. The owner and his cat are a delight and I'm so happy we have a Kava bar here now! I had no idea how wonderful Kava is! I recommend this place to everyone young to elderly. I'm amazed at how relaxing it is, I have no words! You just need to experience it!

Interesting place! Had never had "kava" before and it was a trip! Visited w a friend.... Owner/bartender was super helpful answering all our questions, making suggestions, and giving instructions.... We enjoyed our kava on the outdoor patio with a visit from the resident kitty, "Driftwood." Similar feeling to having a glass or two of wine, with an earthy chai taste.
