I had a terrible experience at Waters Edge in Ventura. I placed an online order for Thanksgiving, received a confirmation, and showed up to pick it up—only to be rudely told by the maître d’ that they “weren’t taking online orders” because of their buffet. He refused to help, told me to contact Toast, and even told the Toast rep he was “too busy” to deal with it. I left with no Thanksgiving meal for my family despite paying for it. clam chowder and Caesar salad dressing were not delicious. veggie with the salmon was overcooked. my companion slipped and almost fell to the floor at elevated table when stepping down, causing the salmon she was taking out to spill on the floor so we left it at the table as there was no server nearby .
Impressive customer service, while our waiter was busy w/other tables (which is understandable and totally fine) there is a busy bus boy buzzing around with water, clearing off plates and bringing extras people are asking for. Our waiter came and took our drink order. Malbec for me… so good, I had to ask what it was: Öko 🤤 and my husband ordered a smash berry something. THAT was SO BOMB! A hint of mint and full flavor of berries bursting bar god deliciousness!
