Love this little spot!!! KARAOKE on Tuesdays is a total hoot and I had the worst vodka cran of my life here but that's the beauty of Star lounge... it keeps ya coming back ..!!

Star Lounge is a fun bar for young and older crowds! The bartenders are nice and hard workers. They serve drinks quickly and are efficient with their time. Security is well established. The one thing that can be improved is the restrooms. It doesn't smell good, especially at the end of the night.

Wth happen!? 24 bucks for a drink!? That's crazy. This is a dive bar not a 4 star hotel. Calm down... you have bathrooms in worse conditions then some port o potties. No soap, no running water, clogged up toilets and graffiti all over the walls. You gave into Venturas plan on kicking out their long time locals and catering to the yuppies that visit here. Shame on you starbar!

Apparently, being a Democrat and queer is enough to get kicked out by the head of security. After telling another patron about those bits of info in the hearing of their head of security I was informed that I was no longer allowed there and when I asked what I did to get kicked out that I "knew what I said and no excusesare necessary."

They've got the biggest framed mirror I've ever seen. Bartender didn't seem to know much about it. Typical "trying to be dive bar but isn't" vibe. Meh.

Used to be a great stop for a beer or cocktail but it's changed & has no personality at all. Very sterile & empty of character, bar tender was clueless as to what empty beer glasses set up on the well meant. Walked by empty glasses on the well without asking if another was desired. After served first beer & hard cider while sitting at the bar she never asked us if another drink was desired. Proof of that was a nearly empty bar during a Dodger Game on a Saturday afternoon. Unheard of!! Too bad, used to be such a fun place.
Restrooms were out of toilet paper and mentioned it to a worker and he literally said we only have what's in there and don't have anymore. I then told the bartender and another worker working outside and they said it is what it is. Once we're out it's out. This was at 8:45pm on a Friday night. Absolutely disgusting to not provide an essential item for their customers. Each person in our group spent well over $20 each on drinks and therea bo toilet paper provided.

SAM with the beard does not know how to handle customers, he throws ppl out for no reasons. The bartenders throw peoples cards on the floor for no reason. They will kick you out and will never admit they are wrong.

The bouncer called my friend a f*gg*t and started a fight because someone knocked over a chair. The most unprofessional and worst bar I have ever been to. I have never seen more power-tripped bouncers that escalate issues rather than being reasonable. Not only were they homophobic, they picked on someone who was literally half their size.

this is my favorite bar in Ventura. been going here for years. fun to watch sports there during the day or at night. miss the old pool table setup but the overall interior is miles better than how it used to be. at night it's a wild night club now and gets packed! friendly bartenders and good drinks, it's usually always a fun time.
