One of my favorite restaurant in Ventura California well known for the Chicken fried steak dinners & hamburgers sandwiches. So sad to hear that the restaurant is closing its doors so many great memories.
Had my Vagabond fix today. Yup, the writing is on the wall- " Local Coffee Shop Closing January 1st: Owner Retiring..." So hustle and make it a reality while you still can! The treck to the Vagabond today felt purposeful on so many levels- almost like a pilgrimage of sorts?! A paying homage & farewell, if you will, to a buddy that's moving far away (for a while) unreachable by plane, train, homing pigeons, Morse code or Internet! When this joint opened over 50 years ago, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Supremes were in the Top Ten on KACY. Over five decades later, it's still a real, authentic 60's diner. Get your butt down here before it closes forever. Glad I did. Last day is January 1, 2019. Sort of an UNhappy new year, eh?
