Fantastic food! Healthy way of eating!
Our whole family was incredibly overjoyed to have incredibly spectacular vegan options from The Vegan Vato at our local Wrightwood, California farmers market. The meatless options of wonderful tasty items are truly out of this world amazing.

The Vegan Vato is a unique restaurant that has impressed both long-time vegans and first-time visitors. Located in the old train/bus station, it offers a variety of flavorful dishes such as Carne Asada burritos, enchiladas, and loaded nachos made from hibiscus, all made with vegan ingredients. The Carne Asada is so delicious that even non-vegans will enjoy it. The restaurant also serves a scrumptious oreo cheesecake. The atmosphere is clean, spacious, and inviting, featuring a laid-back, open setup that creates a charming vibe. Reviewers highly recommend trying their signature dishes, including vegan nachos and tacos with Carne Asada, chicken, chorizo (hibiscus, Jackfruit, potatoes with mushrooms). Customers praise the big portions, quick service, and friendly owner who engages with guests about veganism. The food is fully vegan, with creative options like portobello mushrooms for fishless tacos, alongside potatoes, mushrooms, jackfruit, beans, and cauliflower. The rice is noted as some of the most flavorful around, and the Carne Asada tacos burst with taste. However, parking is difficult due to the location in the bus station, and signage is minimal, making it challenging to find the entrance. Despite these challenges, The Vegan Vato is a beloved small family business that truly deserves support, offering great tasting vegan-friendly dishes, whether visiting Vegas or heading back to LA.
