Fast & Friendly service. This casual eatery is in a small strip mall on Slauson & Overhill Drive & there’s a few parking spots available on site. They played good throwback R&B and soul music. The value was amazing ! I had fried shrimp , greens, yams , and it came with cornbread. My food was packed in to-go containers, but unbagged it and ate at the restaurant. All of the flavor was good. The shrimp were bite size, not large shrimp. My only suggestions would be for the batter to stick on the shrimp more and the cornbread wasn’t sweet. I’d def come back and try some other items from their menu, thanks for the friendly service !!

Me & my neighbor came through this spot the other day for lunch not only do they got specials but the Slauson burger was top tier along with the Catfish dinner I got. Kuddos to John for puttin his touch on the food.

Come on holiday from UK and on our last day we found this place, couldn’t fault anything at all the food was 11/10 by far one of the best burgers I’ve eaten never mind just in California. Would highly recommend everyone to stop by✌🏻

I have ordered here twice and food is tasty. Each time, the order has been wrong. Today I just ordered a turkey burger and it had cheese residue from a mistake. Instead of remaking it, it was scraped off. For $12 for a hamburger, it should been made over. I am Lactose.. The catfish poor boy was delicious but I noticed today the combo special increased to now $21.00. The combo Hamburger is $18 which is steep. I cant fault him, everywhere is going up and up except for our wages.
I just had the Cali smash. And 1st of all portion size is Huge for a smash burger. The flavor was delicious and quality was amazing. This is a hidden gem. Very clean inside and staff is friendly.

Ordered pick up for the mumbo jumbo platter. I was in and out, but It was ultimately disregard of any flavor whatsoever, and the recipe has changed over time and filled with soup instead of the beef/chili they used to use. It reminded me of a microwaved meal. I'll be taking an indefinite break from here.
