The Cadillac margaritas were well-crafted, though at $20 each and served in modest-sized glasses, they’re best enjoyed slowly. Unfortunately, the chips were stale, which was a bit of a letdown. The place was extremely crowded—understandable, perhaps, as this was once my favorite restaurant in Visalia. It seems the secret is out

Azuls owners I know this isn’t your fault but please read this comment. I eat here all the time. At 6:38pm on 5/28. I walked in by myself to place a to go order. A family of 3 walks in right behind me. Employee says hello I said I’m here to place. She says okay then asks the group behind me they say table for 3. She walks them to their table I see her coming back to the front so I’m thinking sweet im next. Nope. Phone rings she continues to take an entire to go order as I’m still patiently waiting. Gets off the phone turns to me and asks what I was there for again? I responded trying to place an order to go. In that moment phone starts ringing again. I jokingly said u sure you don’t wanna help them before me too? She turns answers the phone and proceeds to take another to go order. Read the room lady went from first to being helped to 4th somehow. Make it make sense. Azuls owners have always treated me right when I come in no matter how big or small the order is. Just thought you should know your employees aren’t upholding their end.

They bring out complementary delicious refried beans along with their amazing salsa and chips when you arrive. Everything I've had here is amazing. Unique enchilada sauces are bomb!

I felt welcome as soon as I walked in the door. I asked for a seat at the bar and was met by a young lady who was asking what I would like. Chips, salsa beans? Something to drink? A menu?
The service was fast and friendly. And the food....
I always order a chili relleno to gauge a Mexican restaurant and go wash my hands and check out the restroom in any restaurant. I must say, Azul passed with flying colors. I've never had a relleno stuffed with shrimp, until tonight. It won't be my last.
This is definitely a local business that I will be supporting when in Visalia.
4 stars on atmosphere because of a grumpy couple sitting at a hightop. Not Azul's fault at all. They handled the situation well.

My wife and I began frequenting Azul over seven years ago, after returning to California from 23 years living in Minnesota. Azul quickly became a weekly tradition. The unique menu, and friendly service set this restaurant apart from the others we had tried. We love the people and the service we have received here. Please give them a try! They will treat you like family!!!
