Definitely don't recommend HORRIBLE service, BAD food. Had no problem getting seated, they brought out drinks quickly and took our order right after. Waited over 30 minutes for our food, for it to come back all cold. Was waiting for our waiter to come to the table, never came. I had to get up to go talk to them about our cold food. They said they were going to "heat" it up, but when she brought it back to us all cold still, nothing was warmed up. She kind of looked bothered. We asked for our check to pay the bill. Asked us if we wanted boxes because none of us ate our food we said no and they just looked at us like why. Walked to pay our bill asked the lady for a discount because it was horrible service and food was all cold, our total was 54$ and she said she gave us 25% discount when it would've brought down our total to about 40$ but no only got 4$ discount which is not even a 25% discount. Never coming again.

New to Visalia, my wife and I were looking for a place to have lunch. El Tarasco came highly recommended by my wife's friend for the drinks. Service: We were greeted immediately after entering the restaurant. The greeter was super polite. She ended being our waitress. We were seated immediately and had a menu, water, and chips and salsa almost as fast as we sat down. Drinks: Their drinks were awesome and delicious! Definitely an A+ for taste and presentation. So many alcohol options to choose from. Food: The food was very good. Chips and salsa are always a great addition to any Mexican restaurant visit. I give them a B on presentation though. Although the food was delicious, my plate looked like it was just thrown together. We hear this restaurant has a second location so my wife and I are excited about trying the other location soon. I recommend this place as it has been one of the better restaurants we've visited. Thank you El Tarasco for the wonderful service.

The food is ok but the service is just as bad as the one on Main. They act like you should be grateful that they let you eat there. They had a whole meltdown and got so arrogant when I decided to eat my to-go order inside instead. I didn’t make them put it on a plate, I ate it in the to go box so it was already packed when I was ready to leave with my leftovers. And unfortunately they got a generous tip before they were so rude and had to let me know that they did me a huge favor by letting me sit down to eat lunch in their almost completely empty restaurant.
