Ambiance and service are pretty good. Food wise, don’t get the pizza. It tasted like a cardboard box, I think because it was a frozen pizza and above that: if you call a pizza a margherita there shouldn’t be pesto on it…

Fugazzis is one of our very favorite restaurants in visalia, and not just because Mike and Debbie used to own.... when we went last night, we were surprised at the table placement and a couple other items.
Our small table for 2 was against the kitchen wall, another table behind us, and the servers needed to slow down and some walked sideways to get thru. I moved our table back, but there was a table behind us, so maybe a couple inches. The table on the other wall could have been moved closer to the front door, not sure why they didn't.... the couple also had to be careful as servers for passing very close.
No bread on the table with the delicious sauce. That was missed... Our wine glasses were brought with the wine bottle and put down on the table and server left. No discussion, just put down and left... Didn't open bottle or serve wine. Is she not old enough to serve wine? Anyway, different noisy vibe. We have usually sat in lounge or back room, so this was different for us. We always love the food, but I guess changes are in the wind...

I think this is what I'd call a "special occassion", restaurant. You'll pay a premium, but you wouldn't want to pay that much for food on a monthly basis.
I was disappointed that when I contacted the restaurant via the FB page they were unwilling to make a reservation for me, even though we were already chatting.

I would love to be able to fully review this restaurant, but I walked in today to talk to the manager about renting their private room for a Wednesday evening in November, and was basically given the runaround by the bartender and ignored by the manager. The manager, Gabe who apparently also the owner, came into the restaurant at 5pm and had time to chat with a young woman sitting at the bar, but then left and went to the back of the restaurant as I sat there for 20 minutes waiting to discuss a potential private dinner party would’ve had a tab of over $2000. At most, it would have been a five minute conversation and there was maybe 10 people in the entire restaurant tops. Marissa at the bar could not have been more unhelpful, as all she could tell me was that he was busy. She was the person that told me to come back at 5 PM when I originally came in at 4:15 PM to get information about renting the private room. It always amazes me when you get really bad. Customer service at restaurants as I know their Martians are tight. Anyone have any recommendations of other options for private parties in downtown Visalia?
Limited food selection on their menu.bThe atmosphere was a bit dark, it was somewhat hard to read the menu. The restaurant is more gear towards adults.

Margarita pizza and California Bistro Sandwich. Pizza was almost completely inedible. No good flavors and bad crust. The sandwich was pretty good. Recommend by default including ketchup with fries. Top notch to go service and turnaround time.

They have set hours online and when we walked in almost 2 hours before closing a lady not acknowledging us for a few minutes than until she did she tells us that they are closing early and we can’t dine in. We’ve only been here once before but after that experience I rather go else where.
LONG HAIR IN PASTA. My friend was really excited to take me here the other month. We ordered a pizza and some pasta. My pasta arrived, with a long hair in it. I was disgusted and also really saddened, because my friend had been waiting so long for me to try this place.
We ended up sharing the pizza. They didn’t even refund us for the whole meal. Only the pasta. I can’t believe that they’d let something like this happen. I was shocked. I’d heard about this place for years. I never imagined I’d get a giant hair in my pasta. This was my first, and last time at this restaurant.

The hanford location is real nice. This location on Main st. Is and uncomfortable. Tables are crazy small. Service wasn't very good. Vegetables were raw.

Good spot in downtown Visalia for lunch or dinner. The service is always great and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I was here recently and noticed the menu offering was very different from my last visit (about a year ago). There’s now a big section on the menu called “Steakhouse” which looks pretty good. I didn’t order from this new section so I can’t speak on the offerings, but maybe next time. I ordered a steak sandwich with fries. The sandwich was good but not great. It was a little dry,
it didn’t have enough mayo/dressing. The portion was good and the fries were excellent. We also ordered for the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Again it was good but not great. Overall food was average but beer selection is fantastic and great service.

07/19/2023: This was my first visit to this establishment. We were seated immediately, and our server was quick with filling out drink orders. For my meal, I ordered the tempura asparagus for the table. It came with 5 spears, nicely fried and seasoned with a spicy sauce. My entree was the pasta carbonara, and I opted to add chicken and shrimp. The serving was generous, with lots of pasta and ample sauce. The proteins were abundant as well. Overall, the pasta was a bit spicy for my tastebuds. I ended up eating half the bowl cause I got full fast.
If you're ever in downwind Visalia, give Fugazzis a try. It's trendy decor, great service and good food are worth a visit.

Went for dinner tonight. Had the brussel sprouts and found a roach in them!!!!!! Spit my food out, notified the waitress, no one came to apologize or make things right (paid for our drinks, a refund would've sufficed) and left. I'm done. Won't EVER try it again.
