What a fantastic place! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The staff was incredibly attentive, always checking in without being intrusive. The food was divine—the sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the teriyaki salmon was cooked to perfection. The ambiance was truly peaceful, with soft lighting and a clean, minimalist design that gave the space a calming, zen-like feel. It’s the perfect environment for an intimate dinner or a casual meal. I will definitely be back!

First two or three times I came here no complaints. Today I ordered a California roll and a tuna roll 98% rice and 2% percent other ingredients. I felt ripped off and don’t think I can return especially after googling other local sushi restaurants.

I received the completely wrong order. I ordered a rainbow roll and they packaged a volcano roll. Unfortunately I noticed this when I got home and they were already going to close by the time I would get back. Would not recommend this place to anyone in Visalia.

I went to Healthy Japan just today actually. The food on the menu looked good with one main problem: as the other reviews state, it’s pricey. So, I got some beef teriyaki. It was good, but the teriyaki somehow tasted “suppressed” a bit and it was $8. Honestly, I think it should’ve been maybe $5. Just saying. Good food, good service, just too pricey on stuff like sushi and meat, y’know?

Disappointed, the "tempura" shrimp in our sushi still had tails/shell, the batter on the shrimp was very thick, not "tempura" batter, and hard as a rock in places, the rice was dry and semi-hard. The taste of the sushi was not fresh, just poor, at best. Because of the way it came to the table, in a take out box covered with plastic wrap and a printed label, I think it was not made there but put together en-masse somewhere and sent to the restaurant, refrigerated, sat for a long time, then, when ordered, it was topped with their sauces and served.The lady helping us with our order was nice. The atmosphere was nothing special.

Apparently it’s my fault when their workers don’t know how to open their ears and listen to what someone’s ordering so they got my order wrong and then tried to make me pay the difference for what I actually wanted bc “they didn’t hear me say that” after being tipped! Why don’t you take the money I just tipped you and pay the difference lmao idiots!
