If you've never tried indian food then this is the place to go the staff is attentive and friendly. The food is a great entry point. Don't be afraid to get the spicier levels.

It was our first time trying The Hungry Elephant last night, and I couldn't have been more happily stuffed since moving to this area a few years ago. I've tried dozens of different Indian places throughout California over the years and this ranks up there with some of the best.
The food was PERFECT.
Everything we ordered was full of flavor. The meats were cooked to perfection, the Lamb Tikka Masala was godly. I would bathe in it, it was so good. We ordered everything "spicy," (that's just how we like it) and the only thing that made us sweat was the eggplant, but in a good way.
The service was fantastic, very attentive and happy to answer questions with a smile. Overall wonderful people that I'd love to get to know.
The restaurant was clean and well maintained.
I honestly cannot wait to go back and make this our regular spot.
I only wish they had some type of "combo" dinner because I would really love to try everything without ordering the whole menu.

Pros: dinner prices were what you might expect for lunch, food was fresh tasting
Cons: they charge for rice and I've never been to an Indian restaurant where basmatti rice isn't included with entrees, rice was underseasoned, medium spice is more like a mild, and mild spice is no spice at all, there were many waiters around but our water was only refilled once.

Enjoyed a really nice dinner here with co-workers on a work trip. Our server was top-notch! His name began with a B but now I'm forgetting his whole name! He is getting a Masters Degree in Hospitality and so is here on an education visa from India and will be returning to India to open a fine dining restaurant there. He was delightful and made our experience very fun. The food was delicious. Our group had chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Korma, along with some samosas, chai and the GIANT "bread basket" full of four different kinds of naan bread. It was so much food and well priced.

Loved the food here. We had paneer kadai, butter nan, and veg Biryani. It was very delicious. Great spices, Nan was soft and the Biryani too was good. Much better than most indian restaurants we have eaten in california

Loved this sweet little restaurant. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere in the front area and good food. The pickled vegetables are extremely hot…don’t eat those ?, the rest of our food was good.

We were walking down Main Street trying to decide where to eat and we saw this one and said let’s give it a try! When we went in, I realized I couldn’t really order on my own so I asked our waiter to help us order. He walked us through it. He made his suggestions .Service was excellent and food was fantastic, for a very fair price . We look forward to going back again.!

Stopped by on our way out of Sequoia on a whim without checking any reviews or menu or anything, and boy did we luck out.
My big ole Taj Mahal in a frosty glass was good, my tandoori chicken and veggie biryani was better, but best of all was the service :) very attentive and friendly staff. Only bad thing about this place is that it’s so far away from our home in Houston

Food was excellent and the service was great. A full bar allowed us a drink before our adventure. They had a delicious goat dish we were unfamiliar with! Cheers hope they get the attention they deserve.
We had called the restaurant at 9:12 PM to confirm if there was a wait and about the last order. They said there is no wait and the last order is at 9:45 PM. When we arrived at 9:32 PM, the server, Shubham, said that the chef decided to close the kitchen at 9:30 PM and that they were taking no more orders. When we tried to say that we had called to confirm last order timings, Shubham said he receives all the calls and had not received our call about wait time and last order. When we tried to show him our call log, he said that that’s not the restaurant number. We double-checked with the number on Google and tried to prove our point but he just dismissed it. He then proceeded to say that he doesn’t even work there which is just ???
He also said that if we have a problem with what’s happening, we should leave a bad review which is exactly what we are doing. We had a long day and drove 1 hour 45 minutes for this restaurant and the food. We called to confirm timings and wait. We would have placed a pickup order but were assured we would get a table so we didn’t. It was quite an awful experience and I would not recommend this restaurant and staff to anyone. The clear lack of accountability, staying true to their word and rude attitude just ruined our night.

After a long day at the Sequoia National Park, my partner and I were hoping to enjoy a good, well-deserved meal here. They close at 10pm and we were going to reach at 9:30pm so we called in earlier to check if it would be fine to come then, else we would’ve simply placed a pickup order or gone somewhere else. They told us there is no wait time, and the last order is at 9:45pm so we should be good and no reservation is required. We relied on this information and were there at 9:32pm. When we went in, they told us no tables are available, however, we can sit at the bar. We were already surprised as this was not what was relayed on phone. As we were going to sit at the bar, another man by the name “Shubham” came and told us we had to leave as they couldn’t serve us any food. We were shocked. We told him we had called in earlier and he said he takes all the calls but never received a call from us. I showed him the call logs but he said that the number didn’t belong to them, even though it was exactly the number listed on Google Maps (I showed him that and he just outright lied). After that, he claimed to not even work there but was just there temporarily?? He also asked us to write bad reviews if we want, so here we are. This was a terrible experience, we were treated horribly and since it was so late, this just left us stranded with no food after a long day of hiking. Would not recommend.
