I recently visited Hungry Elephant Bar & Grill in downtown Visalia and was thoroughly impressed with the dining experience. This Indian restaurant truly stands out with its flavorful and perfectly spiced dishes that tantalize the taste buds.The Paneer Tikka Masala was the star of the meal – the paneer was soft and succulent, bathed in a rich, creamy tomato sauce that had just the right level of spice. The Garlic Naan was another delight, fresh out of the oven, with a perfect balance of buttery and garlicky flavors that complemented the masala wonderfully.I also tried the Veg Samosa Chaat, which was a revelation in itself. The combination of crispy samosas, tangy chutneys, and fresh yoghurt created a symphony of flavors that was both refreshing and satisfying. Accompanied by a side of aromatic rice, the entire meal was a culinary journey through the heart of India.Not only was the food exceptional, but the ambiance of the restaurant and the attentiveness of the staff also contributed to a fantastic dining experience. Went here for my daughter's birthday. It was her choice. to go here. I was hesitant, not thinking that I liked Indian food. Funny but when my daughter was younger she was very finicky about the food she would eat.NOW, she's culturing me! & I'm glad. I need to be more adventurous, expanding my pallet. I'm glad we visited. The food was very good, the service was friendly & accommodating. If you're in Visalia, I recommend trying it. I'm glad I did. And found out that Indian food is pretty good! Also bringing us all a comped dessert to celebrate the birthday was the 5th star!

The spice levels were both perfect and the taste of each dish was tremendous. We started with the samosa chaat appetizer and garlic naan. They were the best I have ever had. I have definitely found my new "go to place" for Indian food.
Not only was the wide variety of food absolutely amazing (flavorful, colorful, aromatic, and good portion size), but the service was top notch! The beautiful woman who greeted and took our order was so kind, patient, and thorough with any questions we had, all our food was delivered with a smile and fun conversation! All around great experience, can’t wait to go back and try more options! Plus the guy who filled our waters/drinks was hilarious!

It was my first time trying Indian food and oh my goodness, I LOVE it. The food tastes so fresh and flavorful. I tried butter chicken, chicken tandoori, and ordered some rice. The naan was also very delicious To drink I ordered a mango lassi, was very immaculate. The restaurant was quite lonely, I believe it was a Wednesday when i visited around 5:00 pm. Despite its loneliness, the aesthetic of the restaurant is sophisticated and lovely. The service was also wonderful, overall a super great experience.
