Lake Bottom Brewery & Distillery

Came here during a long drive. They were one of the only restaurants in the area open on the 4th of July, which we appreciated. The staff was friendly and did a great job, but the food was mid at best. The chicken wings were dry with very little flavor, but plenty of feathers. I got a salad that pretty much just tasted like a pre packaged salad from a grocery store. My bf got a club sandwich with meat that felt “lunchable quality”. Overall, I don’t know how this place has as high of a rating as it does. Maybe an ok place for a few beers but I would never eat here again. The only thing redeeming about it is the friendly staff and the cool looking building.

We are very upset tonight we came to eat at lake bottom since we always go there and it said it closed at 9pm we got there at 8:25pm and a young lady told us they are no longer serving food. This is very disappointing and unprofessional.

The service is horrible . The waitress was so serious, got my order wrong, never came to check on us, we were without refills the whole meal, never cracked a smile. Made us feel unwelcome.
The drink was horrible. If was a raspberry mojito. I have high expectations for mixed drinks, but that was my fault, it’s not the type of restaurant to expect good quality drinks. It’s more of a beer place.
The trip tip was good, the shoe string onions were very salty.
Nothing there will make me want to return. I will not be recommending

Staff was friendly, food alcoholic drink deals. Water tasted like Hanford 🤮. Flat bread was flavorful and nicely crisp but toppings were mid. Fries were good and crispy but sauce needed a lot of salt and pepper. French dip was the best of what we tried.

One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had, which is saying something. Friendly service, a little slow, but we were in no rush. Would recommend!

Went here on Monday and we waited about 15 minutes before we walked out. No acknowledgement whatsoever, the server walked passed us and served the two tables next to us and just walked by. There was only about 3 other tables with guests. Needless to say terrible service, won’t ever bother to go here again. You can get better food, service, and beers down the road.

extremely disappointed with how I was treated at Lake Bottom Brewery & Distillery during my most recent visit. Despite there being multiple clean and open tables inside, I was told I needed to wait outside. As I stepped out, I witnessed white customers — who arrived after me — being welcomed in and seated right away at the same table I had been waiting for. While outside, I also overheard a server rudely snap at guests, saying, “I’m not your f*ing server,” which only added to the unprofessional atmosphere. When I went back inside to ask why I was being asked to wait while others were seated immediately, a staff member named Carly lied and said the table wasn’t clean — something I clearly saw was not true. She then dismissed me, saying, “Too bad, I’m the only one on, you need to go wait outside.” This experience felt discriminatory and unacceptable. My wife and I have been regulars here, but this kind of treatment makes it clear that if you’re not white, you’re not welcomed the same way. Until the owner reaches out and addresses this behavior, I will continue to speak out and share my experience. Do better, Lake Bottom. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

This is a great little brewery in the heart of Visalia California. It was my first time here, and I have to say, super impressed with this little brewery. I started with the chips and salsa....salsa was bland, but chips were slappin. For my main course, I had the Cajun Sausage Pasta....I know that's contradicting, but that's what it was. It was really good. Being from South Alabama and my family from New Orleans, it doesn't compare. However, it hits the spot. My buddy ordered the fish tacos. Now these were awesome....we are in California, so you can't go wrong with tacos. 2 massive fish tacos that slapped differently. I recommend this place if your looking for a random lunch day out with beer or liquor with some good bar food. It won't disappoint.

Awesome place to eat and chill, great people great atmosphere. Excellent selection of food and wide variety of craft beer if that's your thing 😋

My favorite burger in town. Fries are always cooked to perfection too. My spouse gets the steak sandwich and always enjoys it.

We come to the Lake Bottom often usually for the steak. Today the owner said try the tri tip they got a new smoker and recipe. It was a great tri tip sandwich. Totally recommend. I will definitely be back for another sandwich

Very friendly staff! We were sitting outside in a cute small area with chairs and pretty tree decor . The waitress Offered a water for my dog , it was very nice ! A couple breweries down the block didn’t let us in with a dog. Very fast service , tasty local beers , good chicken wings. Definitely a cool place to check in downtown Visalia

Terrible experience people standing everywhere near our table while eating after my group was directed to a table upon entry. We receive our food and there is literally a group of five standing close by what i would consider personal space from my table talking extremely loudly. Not to mention they would just cluster in walkways having full on conversations in between tables. The server, visibly ignored us after this extremely large group came in. I had to walk and ask for the tab and boxes. Overall an abysmal experience we will not be back.
