Normally we used to like this place but today they messed up our order and then gave us a pitcher of beer and said the picture of year was on the house for messing up our order but then the owner of the place wanted the money for his picture of beer so basically he didn't do anything for us for messing up our order and missing things that we paid for and we never got I will not be coming back here.. avoid this place if you don't want to get ripped off

My wife and I had dinner at Brooklyn Boyz on 6/9/22 and we loved it. She ordered the ravioli and I had the meatball hero. Her ravioli were cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of sauce. My wife is Italian, and so she is pretty judgmental when it comes to pasta and sauce, lol. She used the garlic knots that came with her entree to sop up the remaining sauce. Definitely a member of the clean plate club!!! My sandwich was absolutely delicious, the bread was nicely toasted and not soggy at all with the sauce. Their meatballs are amazing and house made. I've had some amazing meatballs, and what they are making and serving at Brooklyn Boyz are in the top 10; dense, but tender and seasoned perfectly. We got a chance to talk with Mike, the owner, and he is a really great guy. We could tell from talking with him that he is passionate about the food and you can taste it in each bite. Is it gourmet food? No. If you want gourmet Italian, go to Ciao's; this is NYC pizzeria food *at its best!* My wife and I will DEFINITELY be back. Oh, before I forget, ya gotta get a cannoli they are delicious.

After passing this pizza shop many times, I finally decided to have a try. It's not the best or the worst, but definitely worth a try. The thin crust pizza here has a specific taste signature of its own, definitely not generic, so worth a few visits to sample more house specialties. So far, not bad at all

So delicious. A little greasy but how hard is it to drip and pat it off? Any negative reviews are likely made by people from New York expecting it to taste like their favorite pizza spot back home.

I bought a pizza and a meatball to go. When I got home and opened the meatball it was a dry grey ball. They put no sauce on it which is very odd. When I cut it open it looked too pink as well. The pizza was good though. I should've called for a refund on the sad meat wad.

Told manager that for the price (27 dollars) pizza had little sauce and very few toppings. Manager got very angry and told me never to come back! He need not worry about that. No food is worth his attitude!

Been comin here for years now! Pizza is HITTIN as always! Dennis really turned this place around. (Owns the original location also, in Oside) Staff is always friendly and food is worth every penny. They even got Drafts for dine ins. Best spot in town! P.S. Wings are The Best! Always get em lil extra crispy.

This pizza is kinda gross. I’m from the Bronx & I know good pizza! This pizza is a joke. The crust was burnt, i bit into the crust & it crumbled to pieces. Everything was off. Tasted awful. I do no recommend this trash.

I've had Brooklyn Boyz pizza several times in the past and always happy to have more, because as a native NY'er, I can confirm that it is absolutely authentic New York pizza! This was the first time I ate this location and it managed to be even better than I expected. I ordered the baked ziti slice as something new to try and a pepperoni slice as my usual baseline for comparison purposes. I was really pleasantly surprised at just how much I really enjoyed the baked ziti slice. Never had that before, but will be sure to order again. The pepperoni slice was awesome as expected. Also tried the garlic knots. They didn't look like the knots from back home, but tasted just as good. Also very impressed with how friendly, patient and helpful both employees were tonight. My son just moved nearby, so I'll be going back again and again!

My son wanted to try this pizza after seeing it advertised at his school. The boys enjoyed the chicken pesto pizza he ordered. The pesto smelled SO good. As many have noted, the pizza was pretty greasy, but the paper plates provided were happily grease resistant. (I wonder if a switch to low-fat mozzarella would help. ??‍♀️) I got the antipasto salad for myself. It was very good, loaded with veggies. It was rather pricey, but that's the way things are these days.

Great place. Legit NY pizza, which is not easy to find in San Diego. Solid variety of slices, people working there are cool, and Mike the owner is awesome and engaged with customers. Definitely need to be on the list of best slices around town!
