Sadly, I think my long-time childhood favorite is now too expensive. I got my typical carne asada burrrito w/cheese today and gave the cashier a 20. I was shocked to hear her say my change was only $6 and change. Yeah, 13 bucks for a burrito! They charge $1.30 for cheese now which is insane. I'm going to have to start keeping shredded cheese in my car or something for real. Perspective, I literally paid for a nice and very filling sushi roll yesterday that was 2 bucks less, made the same day. And I thought THAT was a splurge. The burrito was good, but not THAT good. Also, looks like they finally took down the covid barriers at the counter, so that's cool. Back to a more up-close-and-personal experience when paying for and receiving food. Customer service (FWIW) seems to be better than before from the cashier I interacted with, but dang... 13 bucks for a burrito?! That's at least a $2 increase from what I paid a year ago. Thanks, inflation! I'm going to have to start making my own breakfast AND lunch burritos. Like I wanna support y'all for life, but you make me feel like a victim with these price increases. Please make it make sense because I might as well go to a sit-down restaurant with how high these prices are now.

Fantastic flavor on both food and sauces with not overwhelming price! Cali burrito was just the right amount and balance of ingredients. I'm not normally a guac on a Cali burrito person but it worked well here. Food came out fast despite the surprising amount of patrons here on a Sat ~8ish PM (which bodes well to the establishment) and friendly service, even felt like a local everyone-knows-your-name-Cheers vibe, friendly and I think it was 5 or 6 workers behind the counter.. Armando's climbs to my top 2 of Taco shops in the area, contending with Nico's. 1 Actually had sour cream like described 2 Small but clean sitting area 3 Fast and friendly service 4 Food tasted excellent and was well-balanced 5 All the hot sauces were slightly unique and tasted great 6 Not a complaint I could think of.

Armando's has the best salsa of any taco shop in North County. The carne asada chips or the California burrito are my go-to, but it's all good. Seriously, the salsa verde is incredible. Kudos to whoever made that recipe.

By far the best carnitas burritos in all of San Diego.I just found out they have another location in Escondido, on Center City parkway, next to Trader Joe's.

Carne asada fries were so old. very tiny pieces of meat with microwaved cheese and guacamole. I could have returned it but didn't want to make another trip.

I'm loving their taco salad. Stuffed with rice, shrimp, beans, crema, and guac so yummy with their green salsa and rounded off with a squeeze of orange slice - soooo good!

Best Surf N Turf burrito in town.I have also tried the grilled shrimp Tacos, hard shell shredded beef tacos and shredded beef burrito. All where delicious.A local suggested I try the Chipotle Chicken burrito next time. I believe I will. So far no disappointments. Excellent food coming out of a little spot

Best Chile Relleno burrito ever made. Been coming here for 27 years. Staple of vista still delicious.

I went to this place with my fiancé, and we ordered Bean & Cheese Chimichangas but received two bean & cheese burritos instead. When I informed the worker about the mistake, my fiancé also mentioned it, and instead of addressing the error, the worker, a young person in their early 20s, raised their voice and replied, "WELL, YOU WHISPERED IT," throwing a childlike fit. Despite being a frequent customer, this unprofessional behavior has deterred us from returning.
