Terrible food! No flavor at all, the meat smelled sour and even a lady sitting next to me overheard my comments and agreed the food is terrible. Would not recommend at all! We threw out our food and went to cocina del Carmen instead.
Super nice staff. Have food allergies to contend with and they were very accomodating. We love Oaxacan dishes and everything we got was great! Tlayuda was crisp with generous amounts of oaxacan cheese and black bean sauce, spicy mole chicken and rice also wonderful with just the right amount of heat. Molletes are savory and delicious too
I enjoyed the food but the lady's working there were so moody and not professional at all. You would ask if they had a drink from their menu's and they would say they didn't. All the ladies working there were rude and gave my family mad faces and rolled their eyes when they messed up on our order. Only our server who was a guy was really nice and treated us well.

The food is good but the staff has a very bad character and they answer you in a bad mood when you ask them about something. We are a big family and when we put the tables together so we could all eat together they got angry. They have signs everywhere. It was my first and the last time going to that place I don't recommend

Today, I bought 2 tamales and they gave them to me cold. What a disappointment. In this cold weather they should have the food warmer. DO NOT BUY TAMALES HERE, they are horrible. No flavor other than cold. and

The food they prepare and everything they sell there is very tasty! A little trip to Oaxaca and Mexico!
First time trying "Molotes", it was a very delicious dish. You buy bread on your way out, and they have a small section of traditional clothes from Oaxaca on sale.

THE LADY (OLDER, AND WEARING GLASSES) WHO TAKEN AND COLLECTED THE ORDER, SERVED US WITH A VERY BAD MOOD, SHOULDN'T WORK THERE IF YOU HAVE NO PATIENCE OR DOES NOT LIKE SERVING THE CUSTOMER. TO OTHERS WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE PRODUCTS OFFERED BY THE RESTAURANT, THE ONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW OAXACAN FOOD BECAUSE IT HAS ALL THE OAXACAN TRAITS.
The big lady is half rude to charge, they take a long time to give the food not very good.
There's tons of Mexican food in San Diego, all claiming to be authentic. This place is actually the real deal. The basics of Mexican food like the beans and tortillas are clearly fresh and handmade with care in a way that highlights excellence that cuts no corners. Pastries are fresh, crispy and sweet. Salsa is house made and very spicy like it should be. Tacos feature traditional Oaxacan cuts like tasajo and cecina. The menu and the staff is all in Spanish but don't be shy, it's all delicious. A serious hidden gem.
It is one of my favorite places, I love its food and especially if you are kind, thanks for everything, I love it, thanks Emanuel from the morning shift for your great service ?
