This is a small tap room, but the beers here are very good. The times I come here are rarely busy, so I like that. The service is always on point, and I really appreciate that. This is my spot to come to have a good beer in a chill bar.
Bear root has been around for a while and always has good beers. This was my first time at this location and was very disappointed. Beer stands on its own but the service and atmosphere has some issues with the current tender. They are blasting some rap that had the N word, literally every 10 seconds and once over.. another queued up just the same. As they ignore customers and watch a show. With it so loud they had to turn up the TV very loud and stand right under it. Likely why...
I have been sporadically visiting this place since it opened. In fact, I would drive by every so often while it was under construction to see if it was open. I really enjoy their beer and staff. When they opened another spot in downtown Vista, I visited there often. When friends come into town, I make it a pint to take them there.
