This is by far the best indian authentic food experience that we tried. The tandoori variety of dishes is amazing. We've been returning to this small restaurant for a few times since we discovered it. My kids love it!
The lady who cooks here knows what needs to be done to crave for the authentic indian taste. Highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience an authentic, delicious indian cuisine.

Been going here for years and I probably will be as long as I'm alive. I love that it's family owned and I've enjoyed watching the family grow over the years. Bombay Cafe is my comfort food :)
If you are looking for an amazing Indian restaurant. Look no further. Bombay Café will not disappoint.
A pleasure finding this Gem here in Vista CA.

Home made style Indian food. Beautitful Family restaurant. Support pop moms business. Everything i've had is delicious Reasonable prices. Friendly service', been a regular customer since we found it, years ago.
Bombay Cafe is hands down my all-time favorite restaurant! For a couple years, I pretty much ate there exclusively (not an exaggeration!) until I moved to the Central Coast.. Even now, Bombay Cafe holds a special place in my heart and is one of the things I miss most about living in San Diego County. At first glance, the restaurant might seem like a simple hole-in-the-wall spot, but I promise you—sometimes the most extraordinary treasures are found in the most unassuming places. Bombay Cafe is family-run, and their warmth, kindness, and hospitality are as incredible as the food they serve. Every dish is authentic, crafted with love and bursting with flavor.
Our waitress was very sweet and helpful with food recommendations. Food was delicious, very pleasant experience.

Avoid ..Not real indian food. 1 star reviews are correct. Staff are arrogant and service is almost non existent. If you looking for sub par service and food this is the place then. Price seems like they are a fine dining restaurant. Note: There is a $20/ person minimum.
I never write Google reviews ! But this food was so extremely pathetic that I had to write one!
Negative reviews for this place! Extremely disappointing meal from Bombay Cafe this evening (take away). We ordered Peas Pulao, Veg Biryani, and Navratna Kurma. All three dishes were so sweet that we could barely eat—it tasted more like dessert than a savory meal. My parents, who are diabetic, couldn’t eat the food at all. To make matters worse, I called the restaurant to provide feedback, and the owner was extremely rude, dismissive and very very arrogant! She argued that they’ve been running the restaurant for over decades now and insisted that this is how mild food tastes, claiming there was no added sugar! The consistency of the rice was also extremely soggy and not even 1% authentic in taste and texture! Overall extremely disappointing food and service ! Please save sometime and don’t go to this place!
Don't listen to the 1 star review person...It appears maybe they did not like the dish they got. It also looks like they poured the dish into the to go rice box making a messy looking photo (not how they should eat that dish).
Anyways, the family run "hole in the wall" restaurant is outstanding. I have eaten here for a decade and consider it the best Indian food I have found so far (tried 4-5 other places).
Favorite dish: chicken korma, basmati rice and coconut Nan (an amazing sweet curry).
The price and wait time is worth it. Just make sure you have a good idea of what dish you might like so you don't end up like the one star guy. I could easily mash food together like a child and present an otherwise delicious looking dish as garbage in a photo.
Side note, the first dish I tried there I did not care for (fried pork dish). I am very happy I tried them again. My whole family raves about their curry and Nan bread.
5 stars for the owners and the food!
